There is a reason why Paetron is called hipster welfare.

I hope it a short lived trend.

As to Cole or whatever name his going by this week, he's a chunk of shit that stole tens of thousands of kickstart dollars then when pushed to actually produce the product he flaked, blamed the supporters then donated the left over funds to FemFreak and lol' saying you can't get it back now suckers on Twitter. Not kidding.

Weirdly enough, the pedals he originally adapted were hugely popular with musicians. I don't know how/why he fucked up a winning idea.

So apparently Devi got into some sort of beef with Billy Corgan awhile ago. Kind of hard to sort things out other than that apparently she made a pedal for him, he was unhappy with the pedal, he sent it back and she was upset because he didn't pay for it. She complained on a Smashing Puppets message board called "netphoria" and in retaliation Billy went on an (arguably legitimately) transphobic twitter rant. She's deleted all her messages and videos concerning the dust-up (perhaps due to legal fears? Billy threatened to sue at some point) so it's hard to see exactly what part she played in the conversations.

But she definitely tried to make this into a "thing", I'm sure she's upset that there was no such thing as patreon back then.

Her laugh is so annoying and loud, holy shit. I couldn't even get through two minutes of that.

Also, I abhor self-entitled shits who think that they deserve to have money, praise, and attention lavished on them because they're so special; in the case of people like Brianna Wu, Chloe Sagal, and this asshole, they think that people should flood them with donations because they happen to be trans. Here's a better idea: Why don't you guys actually make entertaining games that people will buy instead of panhandling and ebegging all the time?

She's big on deleting things she's said over the years. This is a reddit discussion about the video where she says she's "left" #GG - this is important I guess just because it shows how transparently she jumped from side to side in search of shekels.

Also, here are the old goals from her patreon. I'm surprised she had the self-awareness to take these down.

She clearly had very high hopes. 35 years old, a hipster tugboat of $200 per month, at least 3 disgraced names and 100Gs in debt, she's clearly not doing very well in the oppression Olympics.

She's much more demanding than Wu because she wasn't given a fuckton of money from her parents to do whatever she wanted. So it's a bit difference in terms of how greedy Amber is. She isn't as well off so she feels even more entitled.

Oh god, I brought her up in the Chloe Segal thread. Even some very anti-GG people I know laughed at her in public when she said "yeah, I took your money for my Kickstarter, but fuck you, it's mine to give away now."

She also tried to crowdfund SRS like Chloe Segal - unlike Chloe though, she actually decided to be truthful with what the funds were for. She asked for 36K and got 2.9K. (With flexible funding, so she got the money anyway.) I wonder if Chloe saw the utter failure of Devi's SRS crowdfunding and made up the whole "terminal illness" deal.

Devi also had two other kickstarters (That brings total attempts to crowdfund things to 4 for her.)

One was funded and she apparently provided the products she offered without TOO many issues. She did have to renege on providing some rewards and it was delayed by quite a bit, but as far as I can tell, people got the thing things they paid for. No clue if people were actually happy with what they received.

Strangely, she had two kickstarters going at once, started mere days days apart from each other. Anyways, the second one failed.

I'm guessing she's not actually $100,000 debt but she's just rounding up for effect and oppression points. That said, she's absolutely deeply in debt and worse, in debt to the IRS. In the kickstarter comments, once people began demanding refunds, she said that she can't give out anymore refunds until she pays more money to the IRS. She still hasn't given out those refunds, so assuming that she's being honest about her IRS debts (not a safe assumption) then she's really deep in the shit.

It makes me wonder what she was thinking donating what little money she had to Feminist Frequency - some type of tax write-off perhaps? Who's to say.

With the exception of a 4 hour break about 2 hours ago, she has at least two tweets during each hour for the past 24 hours. Attention addiction.
