This is why the farms is a much needed place. The amount of powerleveling and social/political screeching on YouTube can become overwhelming.

If you can get past or ignore Michael Lawrence's political outbursts he is pretty entertaining. His perspective on AL is interesting and much needed. Zachery Michael tends to not weave in his social political opinions unless AL sets him off. The two vegans aren't the militant type, they're both humorous and stay on topic when discussing AL. They only brought up veganism when Michael brought it up in the discussion. Cxnt is our gorl and even more so when she brought up gettin' those tendies.

The "no powerleveling" rule is probably my favourite aspect of the farms. It reminds you to not get high and mighty and think you are so much better than the cows. It's refreshing to come to a site where everyone isn't screeching "my struggle is so much worse" :feels:

Null created a platform here, it's perfectly reasonable to open an avenue for donations.

A more apt comparison would be if a kiwi farms user solicited donations just for making posts on said platform. That's more the equivalent of what ML et al are doing. (Amber is the Null in this scenario  )

And please, just because you criticize someone or disagree with them doesn't mean you are reeeeeing or slapfighting. Let's not be dramatic.

There are people who like ML and Company and that's fine. But they are not above critique themselves. They put themselves out there too, same as AL.

When I first came across his AL videos I found it entertaining but then I started lurking more on the farms and the more I did the more I realized all he was doing is basically repeating what was already said here and acting all offended/powerleveling under the umbrella of being "petty" and "outspoken" bc his struggles.

And that's what this stream felt like - a recap or maybe an introduction to the Al universe for beginners. The vegan guy barely spoke and he said at least a few times how Cxnt sounded like an encyclopedia on AL.

When you think about it though what else could it've been? As someone mentioned, yeah, AL really isn't a good topic for a stream because she's not active or interesting enough so, it's always the same with her and we keep pointing that out in every thread ever because it's incomprehensible how someone could live like that.

Well, that and we're bored with her and thirsty for some tea lol.

At times I found the chat section more interesting than the actual livestream. It was still interesting to watch, but I wouldn't be as excited for a new Ambercon as I was this time.

Im not even upset I am just pointing out what is wrong with YT Personality Critic communities and what eventually happens to them.
Nothing is stopping them doing what they are doing but when they start to do the things they critise the cow they are making fun of and observing that's when things start merging into cow territory for them.
It always ends up with people getting a swollen head from their own asspatters.
They in turn make their own bubble.

Hate to sound cynical, but wouldn't that make for some good entertainment too?:optimistic::drink:

Typically, the First of anything (convention, podcast, etc.) is kind of a mess.

Bear with me, I know this is :autism:
I think if they do this again, there should be a way for people to submit points of discussion ahead of time. That way the "panelists" (if you will) would each have a list of things to touch on. Retarded submissions can be excluded, of course--they wouldn't be obligated to address every single thing sent in. That way, they'd know ahead of time what might be discussed. Then they might have prepared more witty things to say or whatever.
So, kind of like how a podcast is made but more casual obvs.

Also it might be cool if one of them was the designated chat-glancer so choice comments from chat can be shared with the group and discussed. I think that would make it more fun than just ignoring chat. They wouldn't be responsible for modding chat (they already have mods for that) but to just acknowledge us once in a while would be fun.

Whenever there is a panel of "cow experts" it will always turn into cringe and in-fighting. The thing with these clique-like groups is they wall themselves off to their little inner circles. I will be watching to see if they go down the road of a lot of other cow centered groups have ventured.

AL's hot take on Ambercon, which she says she did not watch;
Some asspatter told her it was a fail, reasons withheld. No matter how you feel about Ambercon, it pulled in at least 4 times the live views of any AL YN stream. So if Ambercon was a fail, I'm curious as to what Amberlynn considers her own viewership to be.
Thanks @666EVE666 as always for the content.

Why do I have a feeling these questions were sent in by Necky?

And I can't see how Ambercon could be a fail when all these streamers just do it for shits and giggles and don't rely on the income for really anything. YouTube is just their hobby so they'll be fine if their channels eventually fizzle out (unlike AL who has zero prospects or skills outside of vlogging... and she doesn't even do that very well... *sigh*)
