You would think someone who has such a good "understandment" of nutrition, would know this.

She needs to learn some healthy recipes and also learn to weigh her portions. It seems when she "diets", it's all about eating salads, uncooked vegetables, yoghurt and luncheon meat, none of which she seems to enjoy.

You can make a pretty healthy stir-fry that would taste great and keep you full for hours quite easily. You don't need to eat like a rabbit to lose weight. It's about controlling portion sizes and making sure you're not fillng up on empty carbs.

Some of this is not their fault, portions have been increasing since the 1970s. What was a normal bagel back then would be close to the size of a mini-bagel now. The size of a portion of McDonald's in the US is just about twice the size as it is in some other countries. However, it's also up to the person who becomes aware of these things to try to change it, because nobody else but them are going to be able to reverse the damage they've done to their bodies, or realize that the U.S. relationship with food is now pretty fucked up and can be considered heavily geared towards whatever makes a corporation a profit.

Looks like we've reached the end of the Weight Watchers charade. Again.
Watching these tiktok videos it's really clear that she's talking to and trying to find an audience that isn't already familiar with her. For those that aren't new this feels like amber died and some AI took over, creating new content from sampling previously made videos. Every sentence seems to be copy pasted from other videos but the AI is trying to pretend these are new struggles, new realizations and that this is the point she'll learn from it all. There's nothing new being said and it feels almost pointless to even comment on the cycle because everything has been said so many times before. We're in purgatory until she dies or the AI generating these videos runs out of power.

Buying small plates, bowls and even cutlery can help. Small cutlery can slow down your eating which is surprisingly helpful.

Your "full" signal takes about 20mins to reach your brain from your gut. I get that sounds strange but it's true so if you eat slower, you will eat less.

Everytime I see Fat Amber do an "Eat with me" video, I am astonished at the amount of food she eats. It's ridiculous!

Agreed. Ain't gonna PL or TMI, but I'm always the very last one at the table because I eat slowly and chew every single bite. 20 mins is about right for the "full" signal to hit my brain and whatever is left on the plate... well, it's left there.

Ain't rocket science by any means, regardless of what's on the plate. This small change in how you eat let's you eat just about anything with no worries about a stupid 93 points or whaddafuck ever.
 
I don't think normal TDEE calculation really apply to her, her metabolism is shot either due to being sedentary her whole life,, hormonal imbalances or metabolic disorder. Past experience tells her she either had to super restrict or get cancer to lose weight. If she's comfortable and not feeling deprived, she is eating too much. She's not normal, normal diet advice doesn't apply (which is why she won't stay with a Dr... they probably told her this and she felt fat shamed)
 
Normal TDEE calculations don't apply to her at all. Sedentary is more active than she is. I have proven this on another thread (I think I might've been a bit tipsy, so I can't recall which one), but the multiplier for Sedentary applied to her BMR is too high because it assumes a typical 3-5K steps and sitting upright an an office job each day, which is far more than what our gorl does. She should be applying the considerably lower multiplier for Bedbound. Sedentary, as I recall, is 1.3-ish, whereas Bedbound (aka: walks to the toilet, to the fridge, to the chair in front of the counter to make slop and that's it) is 1.1 (1.0 is reserved for those who are comatose). It brings down her TDEE a goodly bit, which is why she continues to overeat.

Because 93 points from WW and a calorie calculation from MFP or any like app assumes that the person is breathing and herpalurping like a human being, not a gelatinous blob yelling at a thumb-butler to get her orang chickn.

I'm glad you brought this up as it NEVER seems to register with Amber that it's highly probable the ONLY reason she lost weight in 2019/2020 was because she had cancer. She continually preaches "I was down almost 100lbs last year..." but never connects that a prominent sign of a growing cancer is sudden weight loss.
Past experience tells her she either had to super restrict or get cancer to lose weight.

I'm a ww member and did her weight for points.
For her to get 65 she would claim to be 400lbs
90 points shes claiming she's roughly 530-535lbs (I went back to 525 to check and it was 89)
92 points at 543 lbs
93 points at 572 lbs
93 points is the highest amount of points you can get

Which means nothing because I'm not buying her weight and she's never followed the plan correctly

One thing that I do not understand about Amber (among many), is why does she not try to lose weight as she did when she lost almost 100 pounds. While we agree that it was due to cancer and other ailments at that time, but Amber argues that she lost weight using "intuitive eating". If you believe that this is the reason you lost weight, then you should try again with the same method instead of diets that you continuously fail at.
