She has what they call, severe 'portion distortion.' Many times fatties don't realize how BIG their portions are or how often they eat certain things compared to people of a healthier size who are of the same height and sex.Calories in VS calories out. It' s not hard, Fat Amber.
You would think someone who has such a good "understandment" of nutrition, would know this.
She needs to learn some healthy recipes and also learn to weigh her portions. It seems when she "diets", it's all about eating salads, uncooked vegetables, yoghurt and luncheon meat, none of which she seems to enjoy.
You can make a pretty healthy stir-fry that would taste great and keep you full for hours quite easily. You don't need to eat like a rabbit to lose weight. It's about controlling portion sizes and making sure you're not fillng up on empty carbs.
Some of this is not their fault, portions have been increasing since the 1970s. What was a normal bagel back then would be close to the size of a mini-bagel now. The size of a portion of McDonald's in the US is just about twice the size as it is in some other countries. However, it's also up to the person who becomes aware of these things to try to change it, because nobody else but them are going to be able to reverse the damage they've done to their bodies, or realize that the U.S. relationship with food is now pretty fucked up and can be considered heavily geared towards whatever makes a corporation a profit.
