I really enjoy this new turn she has taken with claiming to be a writer, maybe my favorite lie of hers so far, so glad someone took the initiative to archive her poetry and "novel" (or would it be a novella? - it doesn't matter) lets make sure these poems make it into memorials when that time inevitably comes.

In one of Big AL's videos, where she made a grammatical error while speaking, and then said "#notawriter." I'd link it, but I don't know which one it was. It may have been while Hamber was living at Destiny's mother's house, since I remember her red circus tent of a shirt.

This has been long-established, but it's so easy to catch her lies. Hasn't she said that writing has been her life-long passion and that she's been writing since the 6th grade? Reading over her cringe Wattpad shows otherwise.
I think that she's only writing and posting her shit because of Becky. I don't know when she first started talking about SCOTTIE, though. Writing is just another fixation that she's picked up to impress her current girlfriend. I also find it funny that the reason why she initially stayed with Kasey back in the day (before her grandma dumped her ass) was for an anime convention. We don't get any signs that she's into the animus anymore.

This marks my first post. I've been lurking on this lovely forum since January and wanted to join from the get-go but got intimidated by the cybersecurity thread. Luckily @CasualSeppuku 's post encouraged me to join. I really like you guys, and can't wait to post more!

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't think this "I'm a natural writer" shit is that new. It may be the most we've seen, but AL (to my knowledge) has always claimed here and there that writing is her real passion. I'm wondering if she'll even acknowledge anyone who points out how subpar her writing is or if she'll just ignore it like she does with everything else she doesn't feel like dealing with.

Possible, but honestly I think she's bored and wants attention. She's not posting any weight-loss-related videos so she's not getting dozens of comments praising her lackluster efforts. Rafe has been busy stealing her spotlight on YouNow. She's started to slack again with all of her uploads across the board because she's been "busy" with her "social life". She's missing out on compliments and I think she's hoping that she'll get positive feedback on her writing to fill the void.

Second that. AL has called herself a writer for a long time, and she's talking more about it. She used to have book recommendations and openly speak about the novels she was reading at the time. I bring that up because good writers don't call themselves good writers, nor do they brag about their natural, awesome writing talent. They just do. And they read a lot. You can't get better at something if you don't challenge yourself, which means picking up real books that aren't the same teenage-girl-drama genre for 5 dollars at Walmart. It also requires a great deal humility and the search for constructive criticism. AL seems to hate criticism so it's not an ideal career for her, and I'd be surprised if she ever seriously addressed the things people have said about her "work".

She acknowledges people when they tell her that her poems and writing sucks. It's the only thing I know that spurs a reaction from her. She goes off on people on YouNow for example if you talk about her crap writing LOL.

Of course, AL is delusional about her writing abilities as she is about many other things. Not being able to take constructive criticism is her Achilles heel. When in college, I took several creative writing classes and they were brutal. Also AL probably has never read Hemingway or any other respected American or foreign writer.
Plus, she has pretty much 'nothing to say' as her life experience has been so limited.

Exactly. Amberlynn will never make it. Online publishing can only do so much, and there's a ton in that niche that she'll never be noticed.

She'll never know what it's like to write from her soul. Despite the grammar, my main critique of her work is that it's so shallow. One of her biggest mistakes is writing scenarios that should be rife with tension, but she puts the bare minimum into it (you know, just like her videos and relationships). At best, it's underwhelming.
To write, you also have to destroy chunks of what you've already got to make it better in editing. We all know that Amberlynn totally balked under that realization, huffed, and said that her writing is perfect.

Everyone knows what she meant when she said monster truck in the nightlife but what it sounds like to the averge Joe is a monster truck who's looking to party, which would be fucking hilarious if she didn't mean it to sound deep and poetic. I have an unpopular opinion that even bad writers can be good writers if they figure out how to make their content work for an audience. AL would have to be writing stuff in the vein of Naked Lunch, but she'd also have to accept her writing thus far is not very good and use that to her advantage. She might be able to write some funny shit.

The fact that AL even bothered to retype a 90-page unfinished story she wrote in high school in order to put it on the internet tells me that everything she's ever written is probably on Wattpad. I bet it kills her that Becky's stories are better. Some online writing courses could help her improve if she wasn't so against going to school, but we know she never did her homework in high school. The workload of even one college course with her full-time youtube job would probably be too overwhelming. She's so busy literally doing nothing. I don't even think she reads books anymore. She just buys books with girly covers to display on her Wal-Mart shelf, hoping they'll be a reflection of her intellectual personality.
