EDIT has it been noted that she and destiny shared a bank account?
IIRC, a long while back she said D had "added her to her bank account" but later this segued into a "joint account."
No ID means no bank account, pretty much. I'd guess that originally, Destiny added her as a signatory to her existing account, to all intents and purposes making it a joint account. But, depending on different banking rules, different countries, etc, likely leaving all the fiscal responsibility on Destiny. Adding a signatory to your own account is never the smartest outside things like guardianship.
So they bimbled along like that and, Big Al being the lazy-arse she is, never sorted her own account. And this may explain Destiny giving her a card in her own name - it's just possible Destiny was trying to disentangle herself, and saw it as a way to separate their finances. I think we can all guess the emotional blackmailing that went on, and she may have tried to close down as many avenues as possible before dropping the bomb.
It's pure conjecture but it makes sense. Well, as much sense as anything to do with her finances. I just don't know what the hell she's living on unless she is skipping the rent (I won't bore you with that train of thought again, it's all laid out in a previous sperg.)
I honestly hope Destiny has someone who knows their shit giving her financial advice, but somehow I doubt it. She's on the hook for the rent, the deposit, the bank account, almost certainly any credit cards or lines taken out. AL can lumber away leaving Destiny in a really deep hole because she finagled things so she had no responsibility. Destiny's family must've been climbing the walls - it's like the "What Not To Do" financial policy made flesh.
Anyone know the rough timeline of their relationship? Every time I think I've got it, something gets said that screws up my grasp. How long were they together? And how long after renting the apartment/house/hovel did they split? Cos I assumed they were long-term, but if I have it right they only moved into that place a few months before Destiny bailed.
