Haven't we all had a mate with a nightmare partner? We don't know what EnR say to Becky and how often does Amber let her off the leash long enough for them TO talk to Becky properly?
Eric is pretty surface anyway; he's not much better than Amber. I think Rickie is probably the one who talk to Necks but he's not stupid. Male relationships are different from female ones - we talk stuff out, but with lads, and especially introverts, it's different. And Becky has a very male mien, she'll dig her heels in until she's ready to see and until then, no point saying anything. As a generalisation, guys don't see it as supportive, but interfering - you have to pick your moment.
Rickie seems well over Amber though, especially her latest borefest (2.46. He steams past her and Eric cackling and won't even look at them, then it cuts.) He's the key, I think. Someone will push things in that house to breaking point (and, unlike the pseuds, Rickie has actual pathological anxiety) then Becky will have to decide. And even though she's made every dumb decision going, Becky has support; she'd be helped out until she got work, she has housing, loyalty and family support.
Amber has just persuaded herself she'll get similar loyalty. She won't.
