And this is after about a year of being a vegan and dieting and whatnot? She'll be bedridden in less than a year if this continues.

Agreed. Now that she's not working, all motivation to move is gone. She'll be filming sitting her ass on the couch and after her 30 minutes of speaking, will have all day alone with the fridge. She'll soon be asking Destiny to bring home crap to eat as she won't want to go out. She'll still go out with friends but that will lessen as she becomes more and more sedentary. Her hauls will switch to Amazon. Without the daily need to get up, dressed, and go to work, she will decline fast.

I think she's gained a hundred pounds in the past year. She's truly massive. It's sad, she's young but about to become bedridden unless she wakes up fast.

For a single person, $60 is groceries for a week. For Amberlynn and Destiny, it's one cake. Think about that for a while and feel the rage.

In college I ate healthy for $15~25 a week, depending on how the ball rolled the week before. That cake would have been 3 weeks worth of food for a person with decent money management and good eating habits. I don't understand how their math is supposed to work out.

Is there some context to this comment I've missed? Was there a Snapchat or younow video?
It's her Vlogmas 17 video "Surprise of my life".

She thought she was inviting friends over for a Christmas party but it turned out to be a surprise birthday party. Destiny had set it up and bought an expensive cake.

As misguided as it is to spend so much on a cake from Walmart, it's a very nice demonstration of how Destiny, for better or worse, does care about Amberlynn and tries to be an attentive girlfriend. At least friends were invited to share in the event. And it seems that Destiny is the... breadwinner, I guess, since she works and AL doesn't. Has AL ever done anything positive for Destiny aside from buy (unnecessary) shit for her?

I kind of want AL to hurry up and move onto her next gf so that Destiny can be free of the moocher (and also more lulzy vlogs for us), but I also feel bad that Destiny can't see that she's being used and will likely be hurt by the relationship ending, and having to deal with AL lying about why the relationship didn't work out...

What are your predictions for how things will go post-Christmas, guys? :optimistic: I'm betting that the relationship will last to at least after Valentine's Day :optimistic:.

I see AL and Destiny as having a very stereotypical male/female relationship with Destiny in the male role. Destiny works, builds the furniture, does the driving and ice-scraping. AL cooks, cleans, decorates and shops for clothes for both.

So far, I'm not seeing a huge issue. AL does bring some youtube money, and is still mobile enough to function.

I think that will start to change when AL declines and stops leaving the house. And if the youtube money stops coming in but the bills don't-pressure will build up. Add to that ALs inevitable loss of mobility and all the new things that will be put on Destiny, and I don't know if they'll last past that.

Many relationships are not 50/50 but when they get to 100/0, most can't take it. However, I've seen enough shows about the morbidly obese to know that many of them find a partner/caregiver who doesn't leave-out of a sense of guilt or obligation or whatever. Destiny may fit into that category.

Eh, I'm not gonna shit on someone for buying a $60 cake if it's an occasion and they feel like it's worth it (though you're right that they are probably the last people in the universe who need a giant cake instead of that missing sixty bucks). What I meant was, it speaks to how small their world is that when they had money to drop, it's always at Walmart. They act like they are being smart and saving money by shopping there, but it doesn't count when you buy bumtons of tat every single goddamn day.

They've been together for about 1½ years now. Honestly, they seem very happy to me. Destiny is always bringing home flowers for Amberlynn. And, as Barbarella pointed out, they seem comfortable in their roles. But I think they'll be together until one of them drops dead.

I think you forget Amber loves to cheat. Once the well dries up and her girlfriends patience starts to swindle AL will be looking elsewhere if she isnt doing that already on the downlow. People like AL are always looking for the better option.

I have a suspicion that this is why Amberlynn quit the job she had with Destiny. With her out of the house, it's easier to troll for someone new to leech off of. I think she moved in with Destiny, started getting sick of being around her 24/7 immediately, and began talking to other people while devising a sob story on why their perfect love didn't last. (The excuse will probably be "Destiny works too much".)

Ya from what Ive seen of their videos, it doesnt seem like Amber Lynn really likes Destiny at all. There was one video where I think Destiny was trying to spoon her, or kiss her, and yeah it was a bad moment, but Amber Lynn looked at her and said something like, "Why are you doing that?" in a deadpan, very annoyed tone of voice.

I mean Amber Lynn seems like the type of girl you stay away from in general just because she seems like the type of person who's always on the lookout for something/someone "better".

She seems very fake all things considered-- but above and beyond her tendency to always be on the lookout for a new opportunity, I think she kind of finds Destiny annoying. Like, even Amber Lynn thinks she's "slow", and probably cant relate to her. That's why she buys tons of gifts and put it on the internet, because she wants to show "how much she loves other people" without having to actually commit to them.

In her videos, it's never "we did this'; it's always "I did this, I bought this, I ate this, I'm doing this," and usually that means Destiny tagged along because I dont get the feeling that she has too many other people or things in her life but I always get the vibe that Amber Lynn is the "star".

If Destiny shows up in a video, it's because Destiny happened to be there and accidentally was in the way when Amber Lynn turns around, or because it's a video specifically about how great Amber Lynn is for being good to Destiny (the gifts video), or Destiny is doing something weird and kind of forces her way into the video and forces Amber Lynn to acknowledge her.

But it's never like, "Woo! Destiny had the day off so she and I went to the zoo and Destiny loooved the penguins they did such and such!" Or "Hey it's Saturday so I decided to go to the park and now I'm vlogging because I asked if Destiny wanted to go and we had SO MUCH FUN playing games outside! Or watching a movie! Or at a picnic!" it always seems like, "Im out with my friends, Im doing what I want to do, Im at Golden Corral, we're hanging out gossiping about the new Wendys menu items. Oh, also Destiny is here; she's driving us, say hi Destiny!!!!"

It's her channel and her videos, so they are always biased, but from what I've seen of her relationships, they always feel like they are run on either her terms or nothing; it's not equal, it's not a partnership, there's no concession, if mamma aint happy aint nobody happy. It's a very vague unease I get, watching their relationship, because Destiny seems like the type of person who is very clingy, and will put up with abuse or shitty relationships just because she's getting attention or validation--she's "slow" and kind of simple so you dont really know anything is off in their relationship because her baseline is so off.

TL;DR: I could be off, but it seems to me that Amber Lynn is merely "putting up with" Destiny, and sees her as a free ride, not only to mooch off of for money and affection but in this case, literally, since Amber Lynn apparently can't drive.

I think this really demonstrates her rampant narcissism. She can't allow Destiny one moment in the spotlight without taking credit for her mad editing skillzz guys!
