My Google-fu must be weak because I can't find it now, but there was an actual study done about how (: is unsettling and why. It goes against our English-speaker conventions because we digest information from left to right, top to bottom. Doing it the opposite way is (supposedly) indicative of dishonest emotion, if I remember correctly.

(Course, if you put serious stock into a person's deficiencies because of smiley face, that's dumb, but it's fun to speculate, especially considering everything we know about AL already.)

She mentions how exhausted she is with all that's going on and how she just needed a lazy day (who we kidding, every day is a lazy day for Amberlynn), so, she basically just sat in bed all day playing with a kids cutout paste-it thingy. But she talks about how Destiny and Charlotte are sick with the stomach bug and how she hopes to not get it. Fair enough. Except you don't see Destiny anywhere in the video until the very end, when it's night time and she's wrapping up the vlog. Which tells me, more likely than not, that Destiny actually went to work, despite being sick, all the while the healthy (healthy for her, anyway) Amberlynn stayed home all day being lazy because she was exhausted from the last few days.

What I got from her aunt is that Amberlynn is selfish, spending mass amounts of money on Destiny (because this was posted on the spoiling my girlfriend video or whatever it was), yet AL doesn't even care about her family. If I were her aunt I'd be pissed too because you see this whale who has basically leeched off of you for years, spending massive amounts of money, and not doing anything in return, even for a gift swap. AL is a shit for sure, and should have done the swap with her aunt. But read the post-she's putting a lot of guilt on AL for people she says are having a hard time at Christmas, and also how she should send money that way. She also says the same about ALs mom.

Not excusing AL but that post was written by somebody who seems to feel entitled to ALs generosity. And that's my question: was AL put into foster care and left alone? Her family didn't care about her then, so why is it ALs responsibility to throw her some Christmas cheer.

I don't know the story of why AL ended up in foster care.

It sucks to agree to a swap and not follow through.

This. The comment that AL's aunt posted is very telling, but true to her pattern of behavior: all talk and no follow through. Her aunt has every right to be pissed, but shouldn't be too jealous; revisit the gift videos and see just how empty and meaningless everything AL purchased for her own girlfriend was. It's like she went to kohls and said, "One of everything please." No real personality to it, no meaning, just stuff. If there really are less fortunate relatives that Amberlynn is ignoring but promising things to, they could probably use half the bullshit purchased more than Deatiny and her family.

I agree the aunt has a slightly entitled tone, but I feel it is justified. For two reasons: one, AL has leeched off her aunt for a good amount of time, and two, she makes several statements (aka: lies) on her videos/vlogs and YouNow streams about how she and her aunt are on GREAT terms again, how she looooves her family and misses her mom, aunt, etc.

AL has mooched off her aunt for years and has done nothing to contribute to the household. From what I remember, she was also being super disrespectful to her aunt which led to their falling out.

AL constantly pushes it into her audience's face that everything is great in terms of family life, when really it's just another lie. She did it with Destiny's family too, with regards to the drama happening with Destiny's mom and sister a few months back. I'm not implying you're defending AL at all! I really respect you as a poster actually. I just wanted clarification on what you meant. Anyways, it's interesting we have different interpretations on that comment. I guess we can agree to disagree on the aspect of money.

I still think it doesn't prove AL has any money. Given how desperate AL has been these days, resorting to 2-3 a day on YouNow streams, it's clear that her moves of disabling comments and also now quitting her job (which she has openly admitted on the YouNow stream) are taking a financial toll.

I don't think the aunt was wrong to air dirty laundry when AL has aired them first in this context. I don't condone this, as you said, it's pretty white trash, but it's understandable and I don't blame aunt Tammie for putting AL on blast. In several videos and streams, AL is lying and slandering her aunt - she is talking about how terrible her aunt is for kicking her out cause she's fat (which isn't true, the aunt said it's because of her attitude), and spreading lies about her aunt. Seems familiar to the slandering of Kasey with the rape accusations. It's a situation where one party is not cooperating and I suppose the only way they can spread their truth or to get the other party to listen is to drag them on a platform like the comments.

Also, AL doesn't seem to be openly hating her mother to the point of avoidance. She has spoken about her mother on YouNow and talks about how much she misses her and wants to see her again. When pressed about why she won't call her mom or send her a letter, she ignores the comments. Why does she need to lie about the dumbest shit? She can just admit she's not ready to speak to her mom instead of acting like she's on best terms with her. Aunt Tammie is right - if you're going to go out there and claim you love your family so much, prove it, or else don't say anything at all.

If I weren't blocked on AL's YouNow I'd post the moments. I can still watch her stream but can't comment or capture moments. Funny enough, I was blocked for asking what brand of scale she uses since it goes up to 500+lb. The subject only came out because she said she can't do a live weigh-in because her scale is out of batteries, LOL. I can't figure out how to record the stream on my laptop. I think a lot of the stuff she says on the streams are interesting - mind you it's like 5% of the time, the rest is mundane boring shit. It's interesting because the stuff she does say reveals a lot of information and contradicts a lot of stuff she says on her vlogs and social media.
