Oh man. :powerlevel: It was my husband who wanted to watch the YouNow stream today, AL is our entertaining trainwreck guilty pleasure along with Kailyn and the Slatons. Glad he actually suggested we watch her stream while he scans a book for us, LOL.

Some highlights, and there's some good ones in just 10 minutes of watching:

- Blames health issues the reason why she doesn't work anymore.
- Work was making her fat because she sat all day, also she blames working at her "government job" for eating out all the time. Girl doesn't have any impulse control.
- Says Destiny wants AL to be a housewife anyway, and doesn't see why people are mad that she is basically a housewife since people have no problem with that in the past. (Um, because housewives actually contributed like doing chores?! Destiny does all the chores.)
- Disputes the comments about saying she can't keep a job after a few months, smugly saying that Youtube is her job and has been working at it for four years.
- She eats vegetables, potatoes are a vegetable, and carbs are good. She will never go on a low-carb diet. The usual acting like a nutritionist routine.
- Since staying home... she's lost weight! She can't do a weigh-in to prove it though because she has no batteries for her scale.
- Accuses people who capture moments on YouNow for making her look like a terrible person. (But isn't the shit she says coming out of her mouth? She's seriously using the 'omg the edit made me look bad' excuse reality TV people have)

Now she's getting boring again with her reading the comments... back to watching Netflix.

I am sure we agree on most everything, I'm just noticing where AL gets her childish behavior from. In my world, you keep your petty family arguments off the internet-even if somebody else doesn't. Not every insult or hurt must be publicly answered.

I can't really sit through her YouNows myself (or most of her vids) although I suppose I should try. I was unaware that tipping was involved.

I was interested in how she was going to spin the job situation and now we know it's health. None of which she will attribute to her obesity, and I'll take numbers on that! The fact is that she doesn't understand not having a job will make things worse and not better-sad. At work she had to (sorta) work, get dressed, walk to the bathroom, get up to go to the break room, talk to somebody, whatever. Now she sits next to the fridge all day with no work to focus on and nothing to do but chat with people online. If she put on weight while working she'll put it on double now.

The only thing I like about her is the name of her kitten. Rarity Grey is a great name for a cute kitten.

I didnt necessarily see it as the aunt asking for money. Getting mad about doing the gift swap and not getting your gift is one thing, but it seemed to me like the aunt was more upset that Amber Lynn was putting on a big show about throwing her money around, because Amber Lynn is primarily someone who seems like they take, take, take, so when they give something back, they make sure everyone sees it and knows how giving and selfless they are. It was a callout, and possibly a whine that she feels "entitled" to Amber Lynn's money, but I think she knows she's not getting any of it so it was more of an airing of skeletons in the closet about Amber Lynn's behavior in general. Because Amber Lynn has a bunch of symptoms of someone who is a user. Whether or not it runs in the family is irrelevant because it's a kind of a red flag regardless.

Look being a "user" or taker isnt inherently wrong, but you have to give back in some way, it still is a sort of exchange. If you do the cooking, the laundry, the yard work, chores, you're less of a taker than a big fat person who is always looking out for themselves, is the thing. Amber Lynn doesnt seem like she gives back that much, outside of extravagant displays that only fuel her own self-worth, most of what she does is to meet her own ends.

AL just comes from a CLAN of attention seekers. It's pretty horrible.

I just don't understand why she has to lie to herself. All of us, I get it, it's for image or whatever the hell, but herself? It's indicative of her absolutely hating her current reality. If we think she looks good and glamorous, then she feels good and glamorous.

There's this study that shows how, for instance, if you constantly say you're going to go to the gym, the praise and acknowledgement from others, (or even yourself), triggers a release of dopamine throughout the brain akin to the dopamine you receive from actually doing the thing. So, more often than not, you'll already feel like you achieved your goal, and will thus be more unlikely to do whatever you said you were going to do.

Now, I'm no doctor, but I think it's safe to assume she does this for almost everything...like, imagine the weight she'd lose if you actually got results from mental gymnastics.

But goddamn, that aunt... the whole family wants acknowledgement. Ugh.

I find it insulting she says shes a housewife. Housewives like you said actually do work around the home not order around someone who worked all day while she sits on her fat ass on you tube watching videos. Same, Destiny seems to me like a nice person who wants love. Sadly shes so blinded to the fact shes being used by AL. It's sad. The more I watch her vlogs, the more I can see that AL isnt even attracted to Destiny. She pulls away all the time or avoids any sort of contact romantically with her. AL is way into her ex and isnt very shy about it either.
