She’s crazy comparing being a YouTuber with being a lawyer or an aged care worker. If they lose their jobs, they still have skills, a work history, and just as importantly a reference to hit the job market with. My first 8 years of work were for an employment service. I can guarantee that working part time through high school and/or university for fast food or supermarket chains, are for young adults the equivalent of being in the armed forces as an adult, as far as employers are concerned. For exactly the reasons you’ve given.

If all they did was stream themselves playing video games, doing consumer hauls, and bitching about their retarded sex lives, no one at YT would care about their extreme BMIs. That one stuffed her face with obscene amounts of food and the other ana-pimped herself, both on camera on a regular basis, that’s what crossed the line.
 
I do kind of feel like in extreme cases like hamber and eugenia their existence *is* controversial if they are not seeking genuine help. I'm going to catch some shit for this but i do feel Eugenia is worse in terms of body image and promoting that solely based on the fact she denies having an eating disorder and the fact that yes, shockingly, people deep in anorexia do want to look like her. I don't think people with BED or similar want to look like Amber. Even feedees don't usually enjoy how they look, quite a few of them hate it and are seriously depressed but that in turn fuels the power feeders have over them via being the only source of love or affection in these people's lives.

Amber didn't get help, nor do i think she wants it. As such, the way she presents online is controversial. Youtube doesn't want that and ultimately they are entitled to take down whoever they want. While i do agree that the retroactive punishment is a bit fucked up, that opinion is lessened by the fact that youtube warned her months ago and smuglynn frog blinked at the email, said whuuuuuuuut? And clicked out of it without abiding by the TOS update. Things change, adapt or die, as harsh as that may be.

She had around 300/350K legacy views per month. That's pretty substantial. It's not enough for her to live off, but it did probably cover her doordash.

In combination with the memberships, she barely had to work for survival.

She just had show to up now and then to keep it running and keep the channel somewhat relevant. Although I find the reasoning retarded from YouTube, she did not deserve the income she got for what she put out there.

The last couple of years it was nothing more than looking at her upper body while she whined or acted smug over something irrelevant.
Maybe her lack of money will bring back a gay care-esque era with roommates. 🌈

"Youtuber" is not a transferrable skill even in public interfacing; their resume goes straight into the trash. Amber will start out in the same jobs as a 19 year old...in her mid 30s.
