That was likely meant for us, but if you've ever watched an AL Q&A (or Q"&&"A), you'd know that a large part of AL's Snap audience are very loyal and sweet 13 year old girls that are used to girly, bubbly, and cutesy Amberlynn. This is ALs first foray into dating a chick who is not slow/demure (at least since she started YouTube) and I do not think those kiddos, her "fans", will take kindly to the attitude of the new "bad-ass" gf on social media or otherwise. So she hasn't uploaded a video in several days and hasn't been on younow in even longer. There is no way in hell she is making enough money to pay all her bills and go out to eat and shop like she does. Her lease is up in September so I'm wondering if she's just stopped paying her rent because she knows they won't be able to evict her by then? That would explain why all of sudden Destiny and Dana don't want to move it. She's either not paying her bills or someone is giving her money. Her credit is already in the dumps, she's confessed to owing $19,000 in student loans and not making any effort to pay it off, so even if she finds a landlord who will rent to her with her shitty credit how is she going to come up with first and last month and security deposit? There has to be another source of income somewhere.

Yes I'm curious if Amber makes ANY sort of monthly payment on her hospital bills and student loan bills.
If she really was getting $1,400 a month while living with Krystle's parents, she could have easily been paying at least $100 a month towards both. And I do remember Amber saying way back that Krystle's parents did basically give her an allowance. (How fucking sad - getting an allowance at that age.) She admitted that in the past she did NOT pay anything towards her student loan bills. So again I wonder if she ever has since then, especially since she was making "so much" money for a while as she claimed.

Oddly enough, the shitty for-profit school she went to (Brown Mackie) fucked up so badly at educating its students that it closed virtually all their campuses. Amberlynn could possibly get her private/federal loan forgiven, but that involves work. It's easier to just ignore it and hope it goes away.

Not to PL, but my parents do foster care and I had friends in college that were foster children and they all got free college. This is in Nebraska, not sure about other places.

Fuck no. These grants are mostly limited to high achievers. Not AL, who by any account would probably test in the 50th percentile at best. Maybe if she had a mediocre test score but with tons of extra curriculars, leadership experience, etc she could apply and get some money but nothing about AL screams "over achiever" in fact is screams the opposite.
Private banks give out student loans like tick tacks now. It's a shady business that will probably go belly under once all the AL types they loaned to never pay them back. Or, like most devious ass banks they probably have already repackaged the debt and sold it to some other sucker.
At best she could have applied for and got federal loans, which are not grants and must be paid back, but come with much more consumer friendly terms than private loans.
If Becky does post here it just goes to show how her "friends" also use AL. They are fame thirsty, even if it's "lol cow" famous. It's bizarre, but it seems the case. Look how much Rafe liked being noticed because she entered into AL's orbit. I'm not feeling sorry for AL but it's fairly obvious that her Lol Cow status is something of a status symbol in bum fuck lezbo Kentucky circles.

Iirc There are scholarships and stuff in most states you can get if you've been in foster care/been adopted. It's a somewhat easy process to do but as someone said, you have to put in at least a little bit of effort to get (which is all just paper work...which Amber was never going to do). Even at that, I'm sure she could have easily gotten Financial Aid (PL: I know some people who have cheated the system and done both at the same time for many years).

I remember her saying Destiny put her on her bank account, she's lucky she took her off before the department of education found out because they would have froze the account. I'm sure if she files taxes like she says she does they take that from her too. She made it seem like she was so put together and financially responsible when she was with Destiny, going so far as to making videos about how she budgets her money and giving people advice. She's probably maxed out and not paid every credit card she's gotten, outstanding student loan and hospital bills, but lately she's moved so much it's probably hard for creditors to find her so she's probably not even worrying about it until one day she goes to collect her YouTube money on her green dot card and there is none because they've garnished her wages. I know some states will even deny you a drivers license if you have outstanding student loans. I mean this girls priorities are so fucked up, just blowing money on stupid shit knowing you owe the government thousands of dollars. She deserves everything that she gets.

Not to :powerlevel: but I am a college student (online, based in Chicago) and in order to keep my grants I have to maintain a GPA of 3.8 or higher. There is no way AL could keep up with those kinds of standards, which could be another reason to dropped out.

It's possible, but I don't think it would be 19k if it was. Back when I was new in college I was getting FAFSA and dropped one of my classes which put me under the amount of units I needed to have to get the full amount of my grant. Got a bill a couple months later for the amount I owed back, but it was only a couple of hundred. They won't give you anymore grants until you pay it off, so most likely Amber took out a loan. And she didn't even get a degree, so it all seems like a giant waste.

The state pays for all foster kids to go to college. But you must stay in that state and go to An approved school in that state.
And I believe Crystal gets Social Security disability for her autism. So I'm sure the parents were just handing it out to both of them. I don't believe it was $1,400 a month though. She probably added in what it would cost them for a bedroom and food and all the extras that she was getting there.
