She could be taking different parts of the relationship and twisting it to make it something huge. She wasn't raped/abused in that household. I think that the fact AL's giving up her cats is evidence as to just how broke and unable to live on her own she is.

In past apartment shopping vlogs with Destiny, she mentioned several times that one of the requirements for them was it had to be pet-safe/allow pets. So she could easily do that again if she gave a rat's ass.

But she probably can't be approved for an apartment because her track record is so shitty and her credit is so non-existent. She could probably only do it before because of Destiny. She was relatively young, experienced enough to start living on her own early, had her own car, and had her own job. She seemed pretty responsible for that age, at least.

But without D, that's why AL's only option left is to move in with Becky.

EDIT: Of course that's the best case scenario for her. Worst case scenario is she's giving them up because she has a choice, and just hates them.
