thank fuck she finally went to the doctor, and thank fuuuck her doctor is having a therapist appointment scheduled..
hopefully she will go – i certainly have my doubts – but maybe having her hear it from a doctor (who was so "nice" to her) made her understand that she can't do this shit alone. she obviously has serious mental health issues that need to be addressed by a professional. i hope she goes to see the therapist.
i don't want to go too off topic, but if therapy comes to be too expensive, i hope she will look into other types of counseling and not just give up.
therapy is not cheap, and it is a more thorough process than just run-of-the-mill counseling, but there are counselors out there who are still grad students working toward their Masters that charge waaaay less than actual licensed therapists. and, of course, there are support groups like OA, which I hope she will try too.

Ah yes, achievement. Well she did have to wake up before noon to make the appointment and that's a really big deal. Long time lurker, first time interacting here. Allot of the posts here are really helpful. I know she stalks this forum and I hope some of these things sink in.

Wouldn't be surprised if they do recommend her to stop YT or atleast not rely on it for a job. I think youtube kinda made her worse, gaining weight for views and not being able to handle the real hate comments. I feel like taking a break from youtube would be best for her to focus on getting herself better...actually I think she should of stayed single for awhile before jumping into Becky's home but I know she relies on others for rides.
I'm not sure if she will be honest if she has diabetes or not. Or even show her bloodwork to everyone to prove it. Wellbutrin is used for overeating /cravings so maybe the doctor prescribed it for that. Hopefully Walmart has the generic cheap. Her therapy is probably going to be at a place the charges on a sliding scale (charges based on income) and sometimes those places don't have the best therapist... I'm also not having too much hope in Kentucky there are good therapists.
And yeah, when she was on the speed pills she ate right through that and then complained it was causing high blood pressure and heart rate... she might find a similar excuse to stop this time.
The doctor referring her to a therapist was probably saying something about her weight. Only someone with a serious mental illness lets themselves get to 500+ pounds and not care.

I know it's not about her latest activity but I just watched her "the truth about our relationship" and I can feel all her frustration. this causes her to be so passive agressive and patronising towards Becky, I can't believe it. I just don't understand how she can be personified average life goals.

I don't understand why she keeps pulling the 'I don't have health insurance' card as if she genuinely cannot afford insurance and people should feel sorry for her. People tried to help her with open enrollment and offered to guide her through it and she ignored them because they're haydurz. She doesn't want to work somewhere that offers insurance so private insurance is kind of her only option. Either she really is that fucking lazy and it's her own fault she doesn't have insurance, or she doesn't really file her taxes (which you have to do in order to qualify for the subsidy) like we all suspected. Either way, it's her own damn fault and I wish she'd stop pulling this card.

It blows my mind that she's never been a normal size. Like, not even just kind of fat. She's always been really fat. She has no idea how easy movement should be, and how many things she struggles with that people who aren't huge don't.

You absolutely cannot drink alcohol while on wellbutrin (causes seizures) and Amber isn't going to take it if she can't have watermelon schnapps.First thing I googled was Wellbutrin and weight gain, coz we allllll know her depreshun medz were going to be the next excuse for #520elbeez.

It's prescribed rather recklessly, and with her lack of actual proper nutrition I hope someone told her to take magnesium while on it. Wellbutrin is awesome for some people, it's the happy horny drug that restores sex drive and reduces appetite while providing an exhausting, manic high that lasts for weeks, but it also sucks the magnesium from your body and puts you at risk of seizures and heart attack. I hope she keeps taking it, the pill is made for people in her situation, but she's going to just bounce the fuck back after she gets off of it, and if she experiences jitteriness or the weird dreams that can accompany it, I worry that she'll write off all medication again for years.

On the topic of Wellbutrin...well...
As stated above, it can certainly be used as an appetite suppressant for someone who’s depressed and overweight or obese, but that really doesn’t mean it will apply to our gorl Amber. In fact, I’m positive it won’t because of her out-of-control habits and general lifestyle of sloth and motor scooters. She ain’t gonna magically get out of bed and start doing sits ups (or whatever the hell people at that size can do) and she may think she can put even less effort into her “journey” because a pill will do it for her.
Its offensive that a general practioner would prescribe psychiatric meds (although it is a major problem in this country that I’ve been noticing more and more). Amberlynn should really consider some real mental help and I hope she does follow through with that.
The good news is that with the prescription of psych meds there’s generally check-ups in the first few months. So it’s going to be real interesting to see this play out when she’s being held accountable by someone.
Her diabetic ass shouldn’t be drinking that hot garbage anyway but - you know -that’s none of our business.

I don't think there will be any follow-up visits to the doctor. Nor any extra (and very much needed) exams (blood, urine etc).
She might - very subtly - hint at the costs of medicine and hit YouNow hard to get the money to buy it, because, even though she swears up and down that she doesn't even take aspirin, she (and the rest of the gang) will see this as a happy pill.

I 100% agree. I got to thinking about Foodie Beauty/Chantal when I contemplate Amber’s long term success. I kind of like Chantal, but her relationship with food is terrible. And she actually goes to the doctor on occasion and has confirmed diagnoses and health problems. She still chooses to eat vegan junk food and not lose weight to better her health.
I don’t see Amber doing well without health insurance. Even if she had it, she’s just not mature or smart enough to make good long term life choices.
