Speculation: However those two found each other isn't really important for this (although I do not believe for a second that Becky reached out to Amber out of worry she'd kill herself). The (short) courting involved Becky getting out of driving Amber places by claiming her car was old and falling apart. Amber spent that time bragging about how much money she makes and showering Becky with crap gifts.

To Becky, Amber is rich - she lived in a nice, big apartment, didn't work but had enough income to go out to eat all the time and buy huge amounts of unnecessary crap. My guess is that Amber was hoping somethingone better would come along*, but as the months passed and the rental agreement was coming to an end, she decided to pounce on Becky.

Amber probably began bragging about being able to buy Becky a new(er) car early on, and Becky decided to stick around long enough to get a car out of it and then dump her. Amber was getting desperate, she wouldn't be able to renew the rental agreement, no other marks were showing up and much to her surprise, Krystle didn't welcome her back with open arms, so she offers to give Becky a car IF they moved in together.

What we have here is a case of two dimwits trying to outsmart each other. Amber wanted needed a place to stay and a care giver, Becky wanted a car. Amber got a place to live where, at best, she doesn't feel comfortable, and Becky got a car which was financed under her name, so she's tied up to Amber until it's paid off.

I hate to say it, but Amber is winning this battle of wits. By moving to Becky's phone plan she's tied another knot in her net.

TL;DR: Becky is fucked.


* Initially Amber was being vague about having a new girlfriend, didn't mention Becky's name nor showed her on camera. She even took a trip to Virginia, and I suspect she was hoping to get back with Krytle back then.
