I’ve been on a My 600-lb Life binge. It’s insane how much Amber is similar to Penny, who was one of the worst patients on the show. They both live in their own bubbles and have beta slaves bringing them food and catering to their every whim. They both claim to want to lose weight but are lazy as fuck and refuse to do anything. They both want the magic pill that will solve all their problems. They waste everyone’s time and money, and treat them like shit. But as big as you are, she is still too fat, and you fail to get the door closed. Imagine watching your gorl waddle back into the house, ashamed, probably crying. Exactly. If Necky and the gays refuse to get Hamber any takeout, Hamber is gonna flip and then call a food delivery service and have her takeout delivered. Then she'll rage and blame Necky and the gays for the money she spent on the delivery charge. And what's gonna happen the next time Necky asks for money for groceries or something?

Hamber's a typical case of someone with a bad addiction and a legal source of income. Nobody can take her money or phone away from her and that's all she needs to satisfy her cravings.

When push comes to shove the only thing Becky can do is break up with Hamber. She can't do that unless she gets a job or moves back in with her family. And the only thing the 3 of them can do collectively is kick Hamber out of the apartment. Again, Necky would need a job.

IMO the only thing that is Necky's fault is that she's too lazy to have a couple days worth of salad and (unsalted, unbuttered) cooked vegetables sitting in the fridge at all times so they can grab something healthy quick. But if Hamber can manage to make it into the kitchen to make her turkey sausage sodium bombs, she could make it too.

I don't agree. First of all, she lives in buttfuck nowhere. Dominos is probably the only delivery she can get. If Becky aint buterling, Amberlynn aint eating. But even if that weren't the case, the bulk of food that she's having to consume every day to maintain almost 600 would require a LOT of deliveries (whether from a restaurant or wommart) and I fully believe she'd be too ashamed to answer the door herself. She'd answer the door for Pizza Hut after Destiny dumped her and moved out, leaving her alone... but that was 100 pounds ago. Now though? No way.

Not to mention the mammoth effort required for her to get dressed. Even with Becky helping Amberlynn pull her pants on and off all day, she'd be in cardiac arrest by the time dinner #3 was knocking at the door.

You've reminded of how badly I want a full body shot of Amber next to a normal sized woman. I know there are a few of her full-sized glory floating around but there's no proper reference point. The ones showing her next to Becky don't help either since Becky is herself obese so the comparison doesn't properly convey magnitude of Al's size.
Unfortunately, her immediate social circle is almost exclusively comprised of heffers so I don't think I'll ever get my wish.

the lady reacts to genuine concern with calculated indifference, but no surprises there. AL has lived out her whole life searching for enablers, for a self-made 'family' to care for her. since her teens years she's latched onto anyone who will take pity on her and help her with every single need she has, whether its putting a roof over her head, helping her get a job (ala Dusty), wiping her ass, or fetching her crappy meals and wax melts. pardon the sperg, but i'd speculate that on a subconscious level, at least, she has kept gaining weight to lash these enablers to her more tightly.
