Can’t believe y’all forgot about her iconic heel spur, chronically swollen feet and the fact that her feet are most likely completely flat now given that she throws a fit every time she has to wear shoes with arch support.

Didn’t she also say she has body dysmorphia.? I honestly believe that she does have this. She honestly doesn’t see herself as being as HUGE as she is and she thinks she’s genuinely beautiful. Her mind is so insecure from being judged and morbidly obese her entire life , that it’s coped by physically making herself “seem” smaller in the mirror/video. The same thing happens with anorexia , they don’t realize they look absolutely horrifying and disgusting.

I've always been curious about this. I can understand some slight misconception of yourself in a mirror/video, but how do you buy clothes for yourself, and not be aware that "Hey, made it is kinda bad that I have all of my shit in the 5XXL sizes" (I don't know if she buys her clothes at walmart or specially made?) Either way, or squeezing into any theatre, bus, airplane, restaurant seat and not thinking "Hey, maybe I don't fit in this for a reason?" Is that a valid thought process, or is it more along the lines of "HOLY SHIT IS THIS A SEAT FOR ANTS?"

Every time she sees her reflection she makes a duck face. When the camera is on her she sits up straighter, tries to walk faster, closes her cardigan, makes faces and preens, looking at herself the entire time. She only sees her poses. She probably thought she was carrying her weight well and didn't look to be 497. Until Eric started vlogging, she saw candids of herself like twice a year. Now she sees herself all the time.

plus let’s not forget how gorgeous she thinks her face is. She’s always saying “if only I were skinny” and her dumb duck face & tons of filters. She seriously (IMO) thinks that she has the prettiest face ever and was dealt such a shitty hand to have her weight hinder that beautiful face. In reality though , as we see it, she’s gross and has moles developing on her face. She’s in such denial, she literally doesn’t see it. Just like Eugenia Cooney, she knows what “size” she wears , but that’s not what she “sees” in the mirror. It’s a mental disorder that only psychological help can fix. Even if she was never fat she would still just be an average woman , brown hair , brown eyes, plain Jane.

No, no,no. Her eyes are hazel, but can magically change colors.

Hey now, I have grey eyes and they do actually change colors with my mood or what I'm wearing. I'm pretty sure it's just a blood flow reaction as far and the mood thing goes, though and the other is likely just a perception of the color. I've never heard of brown eyes doing that. Hey, y'all, maybe AL is special after all.

We all have a mental image of how our bodies and faces look like and it takes a while for our brains to change that image. This is something that comes up a lot when talking about anorexia and bulimia, but it also happens to people who gain weight too fast. (We all have it to some extent - like when you see a wrinkle and can't remember seeing it before)

Until Eric began making videos she purposely ignored any images of herself from the neck down so she could still pretend her weight wasn't so bad. As for her realizing she wouldn't fit in certain seats anymore, Amber has always been very fat. The realization she doesn't fit on a booth, for example, came a few hundred pounds ago. She can't use that as a clue that she gained because she hasn't used those for a long time.

Clothes aren't a good metric for her either. Pretty much everything she owns is stretchy and like she said "sometimes when you gain weight your clothes grow with you" (translation = she stretched them). She also doesn't buy clothes very often.

plus let’s not forget how gorgeous she thinks her face is.

In her defense (I can't believe I'm doing this), it might be something she heard a lot. Well-intentioned, but misguided, people might have tried to give her incentive to lose weight by saying something along the lines of "if only you lost some weight you'd be so pretty", or "you have a pretty face, all you need to do is to lose some weight".

It's not physiological...it's physics.
Well, maybe a little physiology, because mood can change what the muscles in your face are doing which can change the color perception.

Edit:Sorry, I had found a good explanation, but then my phone screwed up and I had to re-sign into all my accounts and I can't find it. I remember something about pupil dilation also affecting the color perception.

I think it's light reflection rather than anything physiological (although that can be enhanced by the pupil dilating.) Darker eyes don't reflect as much light, so appear a more stable colour.

She really developed the oh-so-pretty thing at the OAP home, because older people try to be kind to their caretakers. But it's another sign of how immature she is; anybody trading on looks is in a losing fight with time anyway. But the sad thing is that she doesn't realise she's blown the "pretty" face now anyway. She has the downward turn a la Slaton from the fat deposits pressing down her mouth and is too old now for it to retract back even if she lost the weight. And bugger, got me in the feefees again. Meh.

Ps. "...clothes grow with you."
Ummm....when your waftyhuge palazzo pants become leggings?

It blows my mind on how many diabetics refuse to acknowledge their symptoms. It's insane
The thing is, diabetes can progress super slowly. The symptoms progress gradually and the fierce denial has ample time to adjust to each new malady. I see it all the time. Oh, I always had sore heels from walking. Oh, I've always been too tired to do basic tasks. Well, I've always gotten really dizzy after I took a deep breath. My skin has always had a mustard yellow hue, etc., etc.

Once the symptoms and maladies reach a critical mass, if you will, everything just falls apart and suddenly the person needs intensive care for their uncontrolled diabetes. I've watched so many older people let their diabetes go until they needed kidney dialysis and their toes amputated. It's the same fucking thing over and over. It's really frustrating.

I don’t mean this in a sarcastic way at all - but do any of you even know what Borderline Personality Disorder is? That specific disorder is characterized by very specific things which AOnly presents for a few of - it doesn’t actually mean the person changes personalities. To be frank, most people with BPD are more likely to be drug or sex addicts than 600 lb food addicts. Everyone saying she’s NPD is more on the nail than anything close to BPD.

Edit: especially because Amber doesn’t self-harm? Forget about it.

I strongly disagree that she has BPD. She presents alot more like a person with NPD which actually gets confused with BPD alot! There are major similarities as well as major differences. Here is a fairly quick read https://www.borderlinepersonalitytr...ssistic-personality-disorder-differences.html

What do you all think?
**It has taken me so long to work up the courage to post on here so please be kind
