I think what happened was when he got Amos Yeeted from a Muslim country for proactively pissing on Muslim social norms, everyone ended up thinking he gets some sort of kick out of saying things that violate the worst of social norms wherever he goes, and it was one big giant meme bro. The way to guy defends his position in debates with people like Dankula, you could swear he was taking the piss. I agree with those in the camp that believe that the people who dismissed him as a troll up until the point he got indicted (i.e. Metokur, Sargon, etc.) should get a mulligan.
