Here I bring to you one simple argument made up of six points:

1. According to the widely accepted Big Bang theory, there was a singularity which the universe came from.
2. It cannot be proven that the singularity itself came into being as the universe is by definition everything that exists, so it must be assumed that the singularity always existed, along with time.
3. Therefore, time must go on infinitely forwards as well.
4. The universe is made up of the fabric of space and time with planets and stars bending it, with quantum foam and all the other weird substances cohabiting (lol) with this fabric.
5. If all matter were to be stripped away, only space-time would remain, so we can be sure this is the universe at its most basic level.
6. Therefore, the universe as well as its timeline runs either in an infinite line or an infinite cycle, even if time itself is faster in some areas and slower in others.

May the debate begin!

1. According to the widely accepted Big Bang theory, there was a singularity which the universe came from.
That is not the case. All it is is that the observable universe is expanding so it likely came from a singularity
2. It cannot be proven that the singularity itself came into being as the universe is by definition everything that exists, so it must be assumed that the singularity always existed, along with time.
Although it cannot be proven the singularity is only the source of the observable universe and not the source of everything that exists. It could very well have come into existence. There are some theories as to how to explain this but I don't understand them nor do I care to learn more about them
3. Therefore, time must go on infinitely forwards as well.
That seems to be a non sequitur. If time has always existed (although I don't understand how to say that something existed before time in the first place so it might just be a stupid question) that doesn't mean that it always will exist.
4. The universe is made up of the fabric of space and time with planets and stars bending it, with quantum foam and all the other weird substances cohabiting (lol) with this fabric.
There can easily be stuff that exists outside space time
5. If all matter were to be stripped away, only space-time would remain, so we can be sure this is the universe at its most basic level.

6. Therefore, the universe as well as its timeline runs either in an infinite line or an infinite cycle, even if time itself is faster in some areas and slower in others.
Again time could easily just stop and there is nothing that you said that indicates otherwise

Sorry for the late response. This image really threw me off from the content of the thread as well as the terms argument and debate

It has been proven that this universe is flat and infinite. What scientists mean by "flat" is not that it's literally flat, but that if you drew parallel lines from Earth in any direction, they would never cross or interact. They travel in one direction forever, never stopping. The observable universe is finite because of the limited, finite speed of light, but the universe is infinite.

I have no idea what you are trying to prove because you said the "timeline runs either in an infinite line or an infinite cycle." The only other possibility is that time will forever come to the end with the universe's end. The only one of the three option that makes sense is that universes cycle. It is possible for subatomic particles to create themselves out of nothing by borrowing energy from their future selves. The same applies to universes. What you have to understand is the word "nothing" does not exist. There was never a pure "nothing" because even nothing is something. Even if you removed all the particles from an area, or if you were to remove every universe to from existence, there will still exist a probabilistic fizz which will inevitably give rise to everything again, gaining the power to create everything by borrowing it from the future creations.

'Nonexistence' or 'nothing' is the same exact thing as a bank account. Sometimes, there is nothing in your bank account, sometimes there is a negative amount of currency in it, and something there is a positive amount of money in it. On average, nothing is nothing, but there will always be countless times when nothing is not nothing.

The Theory of Relativity proved that time is a construct that came about with the Big Bang and didn't exist beforehand
