This is obviously a contrived reason to sever ties with Fuentes. I don't think it's going to work out in his favor though. The cross over between Catboy Loyalists and Daily Stormer readers is high, so it's going to come down to who did a better job of organizing his cult.
As political movement, AF has been dead in the water since early on. But Nick still has a shocking amount of very stupid young men ready to drink the Flavor-Aid and curl up for one final viewing of Minions.
Anglin? All but his most schizo-tier loyalists got door knocked or wandered off to Patriot Front/other moobments.
He's always broke out the whip during donation drives but I've never seen him cancer/suicide bait before. Why bother with this "DM me and I'll give you an individual, unused BTC address"?
I suspect because he wants to have a little 1:1 chat with them, likely to really lay the guilt trip on thick and rekindle the parasocial bond. He's relied on Monero for a long time due to it not having a publicly searchable blockchain, so anonymity shouldn't be the issue.

The ball-fanning and cock-sucking of Nick on the GU is so over the top it’s nauseating. These are 30-50 year old men treating a zoomer closeted sodomite and spic as a messianic figure — not an exaggeration. Now that Anglin has finally come to his senses about Fuentes, it’ll be interesting to see if the levels of Fuentes worship on the forum subside. I’m sure they will.

And FTR, doing a stream with Richard Spencer is far, FARRRR from the most scandalous thing on his resume. That this would be the straw that broke the camel’s back for Anglin makes no sense.

Last I heard he and the OG mystery guest were still on good terms. It's one of the only outlets with reach outside his normal sphere of influence that will prmote him
 
The thing about Anglin is that he found himself in an impossible situation post-Charlottesville. After succeeding initially, the movement he had brought into being was stopped cold. There are a class of people who style themselves as the adults in the room who talked Anglin into a more AmRen type approach but all that did was lead us to discover (again) that there few things which go together less well that 21st century American nationalism and being self-consciously pro-white. Now we find ourselves at an impasse and what we do next is not an easy question to answer.

Apparently he's going through some personal problems right now. I wish him well.

It creates a specific kind of problem. If Charlottesville had been successful the American right-wing scene would be completely different now. The Stormer would be incredibly popular; maybe you weren't a reader back then but it was able to cut through the mainstream news in ways that were funny and informative. It's just that once things go wrong then you're left holding the bag. Trump's branding survived J6 but anyone who raised the bent cross was stuck with it after C-Ville. The question is what can you use to get people motivated like they were in 2017 without it being such a potential liability.

I was very active on /pol/ before and after Charlottesville there is no universe where Charlottesville went over well. You had people walking around with swastika flags shouting JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US there is no way it was going to go optically well.

Side tangent the "Jews will not replace is" chant makes zero sense. Demographically it's hispanics who are replacing whites Jews make up just 3% of the population and have a stagnant birth rate just like whites.

The chant was referring to how Jews are driving mass migration, not the ones ethnically replacing everyone.
You'd think someone very active on /pol/ would get that part.

Anyone who seriously thought that a homosexual Mexican midget would save the hu-white race deserves ridicule. Nick has gotten much worse over the last couple years though, he used to be more coherent in debates and just more consistent in general. Hell, he used to be funny sometimes, but ever thinking he'd become president/dictator is just ludicrous.

Andrew Anglin posted that he’s dying of brain cancer. It appears to be a fairly recent diagnosis. Maybe that has some influence as to why he’s declared he’s done. Sometimes, when ppl think they don’t have much time left, they tolerate less and/or things seem like a bigger deal because they’re already dealing with a lot of stress. Idk.

Cwille was a trap. It was an unwinnable situation. Basically the alt-right that was artificially boosted by the Trump campaign needed to be toned down. And nothing does the job better than a big, humiliating and very public defeat. The organizers may or may not glow, but some of them got away in suspicious manners while James Fields will die in prison for a car accident.

I think the main thing they wanted to do there is to have a shootout between antifa and the protestors. The police pushed the two groups together. Unless you want fights to break out, you don't do that. And both sides had rifles as far as I know, so it could have escalated into something worse.

Also it's a protests. Protests don't do shit unless you are able to escalate or follow up.

As for Trump... idiots are addicted to their hopium. Trump failed to meet any of his goals, and threw his fans twice under the bus. This is the new, rebranded neo conservatism. Trump is being carried by the fact that Biden sucks so much. At least he can speak coherently.
