Some (idiotic/well meaning) teen wasted 15 dollar on a movie ticket for him and he can't even bother to appropriately thank the person in a more personal manner, either by tweet or by drawing some quick sketch for her. And I am sorry I am beating on the last one, but I think that good manners alone would say that you should do something in return for such a rather generous and well meant gesture.

You're kinda assuming a lot about the movie ticket thing.

Did the person who gave him the cash actually come out and say that Dobson didn't even bother to say thank you?

It is entirely possible that he said thanks in private. Maybe the person didn't want to be publicly named.

Also you don't really have to do anything in return for a gift, that is why its called a gift and not a favor.

I do agree with him being lazy as fuck, I mean he can't even bothered to get a new twitter icon, but the rest just seemed like reaching.

Does Twitter have a block limit? Blobson must have over a thousand people blocked at this point.

I do recall people saying that they have to unblock people solely so they can start blocking again.

Might as well just go to Tweetdeck and use the Mute function.

If i had to guess i would say the money comes from the same place all dobbies bail out money comes from.
The bank of mum and dad.
Hell its christmas time so he could just as likely got the money from another family member (which he cant admit to because he claimed he doesnt speak to them) or just got the ticket as a christmas.

In regard of who may have given him the ticket...

And I doubt that any of his relatives would call themselves dragon12435. Also, Dobby had to tell the person how much to give him for cover. I am sorry, but last time I got a generous gift by someone I did not tell them "how much" they should have wasted on me minimum. I don't know, it just bugs me all the wrong ways. For starters, I am a firm believer that a generous gesture should also be rewarded in some manner. You don't have to get your way out, but considering he has nothing better to do at all AND that it would help him build a reputation as a nice guy who actually appreciates stuff like that, he could in return at least sit down for half an hour and do an inksketch for that person as a thank you. And as someone already mentioned here, it is pretty sad that Dobson, a guy who calls himself an artist AND is a grown up man of the age of 34 can't even bother to somehow save up/earn 15$ for a movie ticket and a bag of popcorn. I make odd jobs at weekends where I earn that kind of money in two hours. Frankly, I feel proud now for the fact that I at least EARN that money instead of begging for it.

Interesting.
The account appears to have been activated on the 22nd and exists just to pat dobbies ass.
Aside from a single adam buxton retweet and a skeleton joke its all about dobbie.
Crossing the username with DA we find a deviant with a vore, scale and inflation fetish.

His Twitter right now is just retweet after retweet of "white guilt" posts. It's not even funny at this point, it's just sad and irritating.

EDIT: Andrew "Hates Violence" Dobson

Because he's a "white cis male", Dobson. The pariah/boogeyman of Twitter and tumblr.

And even more shilling of his art.

Calm thy tits, Dobson.

WOW, first time I see that one. Why did he felt the need to add that much blood when lightsabers are supposed to cauterize upon cut? I know it seems like a stupid remark but it does highlights two things: his hypocrisy regarding his stance on violence and his lack of attention to detail to the source material.

The same guy who got upset when a CGI animal gets killed, has no qualms of burning a guy in a pyre for being "sexist", or attacking a con goer with a bat.

or having some Jedi cut off George Lucas's head, or his characters beating up Anime characters.

Dobson, if you really want to be taken seriously (as if). Then don't say "I hate violence" and then draw people getting maimed, injured or outright murdered.

This whole thing feels like a "It's okay if I do it" scenario.

Now I can't help but imagine his sphincter is tightened up so much, you could stick a coal down his throat and he'll crap out a diamond. Yonder bear bosom, relaxing thyself!

Eh... I had my share of hard times where I wouldn't go to the movies, because I didn't want to spend money for something that could mean several days of food. There is no shame in being broke, there is just shame in not trying to change that.

However Dobson could just asked that guy what kind of character from the new movies he liked most an then get an hour down on his ass to draw a nice thank-you-image. He could've even posted that on Twitter to show his gratitude, appear like a decent human being and even get some fan art done people are actually interested in.

Aye. Sure, it's a "Gift", but Dobson is one of those people who should be capable of at least making a small thank you doodle for acts of kindness like this. Not a grandeur commission, but at least something. I give a client of mine discounts on commissions because he generously sends me things out of his own generosity while he's ported in Japan. Never once asked for anything. Just a "Hey, what was that anime/game you like so much?" and got things in the mail after a few weeks. He pays approximately 20% less than average as a thank you (and because I know it costs a bit to ship ANYTHING over the pond).

A lot of artists I know do all sorts of methods of thanks just like this. Everything from discounts to small thank you doodles of their favorite characters or "OCs". Sure, it's not required, but it feels right to show a form of appreciation that artists are indeed capable of doing.

...buuuut that being said. I can't help but wonder what the answer would be if Dobson DID ask this person what would they like as a doodle as thanks given what was found with the DA account.

So remember like at least a week ago when he bragged to that one Twitter person about how he drew a comic about not just saying "Merry Christmas? No? Well too bad, because Dobson finally got off his ass and tagged the guy to show off/brag.

And more "my awesome Mac is sooooo much better than a shitty PC LOL"

And I'm amazed he hasn't backed down from what he said before and cowtowed to Wu. Maybe it's because Twitter has pretty much turned against her.

So that comic is worth two extra-asshole points.
- Being an ass to someone who's just trying to wish you well is perfectly acceptable!
- "Not everyone celebrates Christmas, gais" -- a guy who went into a relationship-breaking rant over how his girlfriend and family didn't celebrate Christmas yet still tried to make him feel welcome.
