I remember back in 2001 a lot of people on the left tried to unpick the concept of "terrorism" and many reached the conclusion that it was basically a meaningless term without any real analytical significance.

Now when I see people on the left talk about "terrorism" they're mostly just trying to apply it to people on the right.

"internet terrorism"

Preeeeetty sure Internet terrorism extends to jihadi and extremist websites and not a consumer revolt Dobkins.

I'm also pretty sick of this 'HUR HUR ALL GOOBERGATOES ARE RIGHT WING REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY LUBBIN' RIGHT WINGERS!' because I'm rather sure it was proven that the majority of GamerGate holds moderately left wing views.

I've also got a few old posts from Dobson's DeviantArt I figured I'd share. No idea when these screenshots were taken, probably a year or two ago.

I'm trying to see if I can dig up anything about my favorite Dobson story, where he works at an airport and his coworkers dropped his radio in a toilet, but I can't seem to locate it and he's deleted the journal entry.

I don't even understand what right wing even means to SJW's. I don't even think they know it means, they just seem to associate anyone who doesn't agree with them as right-wingers. It's as if they were indoctrinated to mindlessly hate the right-wing.

Anything to the right of the radical left is right-wing in their book.

Terrorism has been given a legalistic definition that more or less encompasses any acts that can be portrayed as illegal and, in combination with that, are intended to achieve a political end. So basically anything remotely illegal or even that can be claimed to be illegal, when done by political opponents, is "terrorism."

So for instance, to pick a legal example, in theory, acts of traffic disruption by goofballs like Critical Mass are "terrorism" if prosecuted as such. They could be, with the vague, overarching definition currently in vogue. This really misuses a term that should be reserved for acts more serious than basically being a bunch of dicks.

Stuff that should maybe get fines and maybe nominal jail time for a couple real assholes gets elevated into the realm of 9/11.

Anyone throwing around the word should basically be ignored.

These are the people who claim that Factualfeminist aka based mom is an MRA lapdog "House-Nigger" because she dares to be even mildly critical of people that gladly accuse people of rape and pedophilia for no real reason with no proof at all.
Oh, I know people who vehemently hate Sommers and use her AEI connection to invalidate her. IIRC, the argument I had stopped when I pointed out that her ideals on education were explicitly or implicitly proven across the board. They just obsessed over her calling herself "factual" and seemed genuinely confused when I called out their "I'm a good person" assertions.

It's pretty surreal when you think about it. To someone like Dobson, the internet is pretty much his entire world. He has very little going on outside of it. Looking at it from that perspective, his extreme reactions towards any kind of negativity in his hugboxes, combined with his enormous ego, make sense. On the other hand, at that point you're clearly spending too much time online.

Nah, that's not it.
Dobson is spending too much time online being unproductive or outright counterproductive.

Apparently he only just now started using the Gamergate bot blocker on Twitter which, in his words, should "severely cut down on the harassment [he] gets".

Not that he was being harassed in the first place or ever will be thanks to his penchant for blanket censorship, but it is plain the self victimization complex will not be dispelled by such a minor inconvenience.

Yep, can confirm, I'm blocked and I never even tweeted at him.
