I find that some of my best likenesses come from very quick doodles that aren't meant to be full portraits or whatever. Sometimes you just plain overwork something by trying to make it perfect. Just like what Jewelsmakerguy said, Dobson puts way too much unnecesary detail into his work.
Midna looks fine here; he should do more of these loose sketchy drawings so his other works stop looking so stiff and awkward.

If you give a bear a good critique, he's going to ask for an asspat.
When you give him the asspat, he'll probably ask you for a bigger asspat.
When you are finished, he'll ask you for a patreon money.
Then he'll want to look into twitter to make sure he doesn't have a any haters.
When he looks into twitter, he might notice that he still has haters.
So he'll probably ask for a good critique. ....

And that's the thing, Dobson probably won't once the month ends.

And that's only unless he decides it's not worth it and goes back to playing vidya.

Also Dobson has zero experience with modern child raising and doesn't realise for most parents the iPad has become a digital pacifier clearly for ALL parents even rich ones.

To be fair, Kanye is such a darling. I don't see any reason to hate him unless it's his arrogance and temper (but I would blame on the press). Also, Kanye is more interesting in a way more than Dobson.

Of course people like his inks more than is usual stuff! Dobbles is finally trying something (sorta) new and (sorta) different, it is a step into the right direction. I would even consider to tip my hat towards Dobs, if one of those inks was something original and creative. Heck, I would even go so far to say that you can see, that he is really enjoying drawing those.

To be honest I think people saying Lesbian Kick being a ratgirl is racist is pretty dumb. It's pretty obvious that her whole character is meant to pander to the SJW crowd with her being a lesbian and black, and her being a rat is probably just some dumb thing Dobson thought would make her interesting. I mean is she offensive? To lesbians most definitely. Is she a bad character? She was made by Dobby so absolutely. Really this is just a case of Dobson's bootlicking nature gone wrong.

Of all the dumb, self-defeating ways Dobson could have responded to this, that's about the dumbest.

Maybe he could have realized the dang dirty trolls aren't just mindlessly hating anything he does, but actually are capable of seeing merit in something when it's there. But nope, he has to whine about it instead.

Just amazing.

This is probably the first time I've ever seen someone complain about getting compliments on their artwork. The closest I've seen to something like this is when an artist will modestly say something like, "Aw, it's not that great," but never to the point where they actually start whining about it.

This just further proves that all Dobson wants to do is wallow in his self pity.

I just went through Dobby's inktober tweets and no one says they're better than his current works. Rachel and a few others say nice sketch (Rachel points out this time she doesn't mean it ironically), Null says one sketch is nice for being done in MSPaint, and one person calls out his weird lesbian fetish. Unless he's being tagged by others that say it, it's not response to any single sketch. I've seen it said in this thread, though.
