So I decided to look up some basic Korra design's again in order to find out what exactly it is that makes his Korra look always more boyish than he may intend.

And I think the problem is mostly related to the relative length of how he draws the hair, the linework in the face, the nose, the chin and the size of the eyes.
First, the hair is supposed to be cut in a certain ankle so that it actually is shorter around the backside of the head and gets longer when it comes to the front. This illusion is not given in most of Dobson's drawings. Additionally, because the top of Korra's head is flatter than in the original design, it creates a more boyish illusion.

Which is also created by additional facelines, making her face look harder than it ever is intended to be. Korra's nose also stands u a little bit at the end, always making it look sharper and more prominent than it should be. The form of the face when it goes over from the cheeks into the chin are a bit too sharp than intented and the eyes come of as bigger than they should and lack a certain amount of feminine streaks (Eyelashes e.g., even if they were not as prominent on Korra ever).
It also doesn't help that Korra's waist e.g. is bigger than in the original design, therefore hurting the feminine design.

can you draw him?

The sad day you realize that CWC makes a more convincing drag queen than Andrew Dobson.

The only way this thing could be any gayer is when he draws next his bearsona cosplaying as the two, while singing a karaoke version of "Dancing Queen" by ABBA
Or worse- His bear OC as ABBA.

@UglyOldJafar, you only seem to post in this thread and seem hyper-critical of his art yet have nothing to show of your own. Are you secretly obsessed/ in love with him? We won't judge, but it's seems awfully odd to focus damn near entirely on one thread like this. Unless you're secretly Dobson and love ripping on yourself by all means, carry on.

The Korra face may just be another one of those mysterious little things that make Dobson's pics suck, like there's some sort of intangible ugliness to it all. Not exactly something that can be pinpointed all that well but you know it's there...

If I was to guess, it might be the super-wide mouth he keeps drawing on her. Isn't that something you usually see on doofy kid characters (particularly male) in anime more than adult women? Maybe I'm wrong on that one, it's just a guess as to why people keep associating the way Dobson draws her face with a young boy's.

I think the main problem with nookie bear's art is the weirdly high amount of wrinkles and lines he adds to the faces for whatever reason. It makes characters who are supposed to be in their teens look extremely old and awkward.

I'd love to assume that this is just Dobson pretending to mock himself. But we all know he's to stupid to understand satire/trolling oneself.

@UglyOldJafar do you have any art you would like to show us?
only what I scribbled down in 40 minutes or so while just looking up other shit online without even looking that much at it.
Also, don't know how to draw in general, did not do any sketchlinework and so on.

You don't know how to do what? Criticize? Use proper grammar?

Oh wait, you meant art. Sorry. I really don't know what the fuck is going on here. That thing looks like the Sarlacc's asshole (if it had one, that is).

And I'm not going to lie and say I'm a good artist either, but I have been praised by peers (both on and offline) and even by someone who worked in the animation industry once (I'm probably my own worst critic, to be honest). But even I know when I see bad art, and I'd say Dobson's art is terrible. And you're not all that much better.

Looks like something that came out of Shub Niggurath, but does not have enough wrinkles for Dobson.

Totally aware of that. never expected anything nice to hear about that little attempt at being "edgy" for which other people get their ED entries. Frankly, for me when it comes to criticizing Dobson, it is mostly about execution than anything else. And that Dobson can do better is something I think anyone realizes who looks up some of his better stuff from art school. btw, was the Samus pic (the good one) from that time?
