The cars are worthless, relatively speaking. Lack of maintenance and proper storage are going to kill the resale price. The real estate is not going to sell anywhere near their appraised value, and his "product" is not something tangible that can be unloaded at an auction.
Some people don't understand how quickly cars devalue the moment you drive them off the lot (or having them delivered to you). Unless they're a rare model where only 20,000 or so were made or have some other reason that makes them rare/valued; they don't appreciate value like houses or other things. Those expensive cars are status symbols but also easily cast off by the uber rich; these are the vehicles that only get maintenance from dealerships and other care. The only people who might be interested in a second hand Maserati or whatever, will be people with a Jay Leno garage, where they collect multi-million dollar cars like some people collect stamps, and just to say they have every year/model.
