What does Minds offer over Parler and Gab? Do you still lose your job if you post content on it? It's really difficult being a Jewish white nationalist and I can't lose my job at the gay pride parade org.

Minds is mostly weebs and artists these days. Some politics if you look for it, but not overwhelming Like Gab and Parler. Their company goal is to eventually provide as decentralized a service as possible, not just a refuge for Right Wingers.
Unfortunately the site itself is kinda shit. But Minds is going to join the Fediverse sometime this year, most likely, they're getting community help. So may as well just sign up for kiwifarms.cc in the meantime and you'll have the best of both.

That's been changing, we actually got a lot of Twitter refugees in the past year. It feels like pre-2015 Twitter.
Minds is pretty good. Fediverse is more fun and easier to get noticed on, but Minds is fine too.

Does this fucking retard not realize about half his base are Pagans, a good amount of which are strongly anti-Christian? Torba seems to be going after the TradCath/Christian conservative boomercon MAGA crowd. Those people congregate on twitter and facebook, and the ones who get banned head straight to Parler or Q forums. Torba may have had a chance to get that crowd on his site when Parler was down, but now that it's back up he's directly competing with them.

I do think that giving a voice to anyone, regardless of their views, is importent. But using the word "Pagan" as an insult is not going to fly with a base largely made up of Pagans. Insulting libertarians, a strongly pro-free speech bunch, probably isn't doing you any favors either.

Tbh this sounds a lot like 2018 Gab, not very much like current year Gab, specifically the Paganism.
I know Irl people and church groups who are on now, it's the biggest alt microblogger at this point, and the only one that's cash flow positive. I think as hilarious as Torba is, he's refreshing compared to the usual bureaucracy, and it's why some people will live and die by its reputation.
Obviously I don't think it's gonna be the ultimate solution and Torba's probably going to run the company into the ground with some of his more retarded ideas (see: alt Chromecast, sattelites, etc.) but for now it's good for what it is.

I forgive it, because Gab has a lot more people and you get a lot more engagement. It's easy to use, because it's just a non-federating Mastodon instance with a bunch of nifty extra features. At the end of the day numbers speak louder than abstracts.
Torba's going to run the company into the ground within a few years anyway, and when that happens many of them will get federated, mostly because Fediverse devs are the only other people who don't hire blind guys to do their web design.

Ehhh he's really just a generic out of touch Christian dude that @Null doesn't like, that's the reason he has a thread. He's had his moments for sure but by in large he doesn't do anything worth talking about, and proof enough of that is nothing interesting has been archived here in the entire history of this thread.
Just an idea. I talk about most alt tech habbenings in other places anyway. I just think it would be more productive than this.

- Crowdfunded another million in crypto launching a token which drew SEC inquiries.
- Put his retarded brother(?) in charge of development.
- Allowed Gab to suffer QoL losses over years because his brother had no idea what he was doing.
- Became remiss that Gab was nothing but 8/pol/ rejects talking about niggers and Hitler.
- Started banning pornography and "converted" to "Christianity".
- Tried to show the world how based he was by starting a bee colony.
- Killed his bees.
- Had a disagreement with Brendan Eich over BAT and forked Brave to contain an utterly worthless Bitcoin wallet.
- Made a Dissenter plugin which was useful for maybe a week.
- Tried to start a livestreaming platform, which failed.
- Dismayed with his dead gay site, COMPLETELY REBASED Gab off a fork of Mastodon (another PHP project developed by trannies who thought Twitter was too far right) and joined the Fediverse.
- The site became much better just because it wasn't his retarded gay brother's code anymore. Rebasing off Mastodon and joining the Fediverse remains the only good idea he ever had, but ...
- Was utterly anally devastated by the totally unmitigated trolling that existed on the Fediverse which he had insulated himself from by banning people who bullied him on Gab.
- DEFEDERATED from the Fediverse, pumping Gab content into ActivityPub while disabling Fediverse features internally (one-way stream of boomer sewage out, no Fediverse content in).
- Later completely disabled federation after other Fediverse node operators complained about his abuse of the ActivityPub protocol.
- Is launching Gab TV to try and grift more money.
- Can't get Trump on Gab because his website is an optics nightmare.
- To this day, pumps pure unadulterated cringe on Twitter because no one uses Gab.
Andrew Torba is one of the most high profile entrepreneurial failures and grifters to ever live. I've called him a modern day Timothy Dexter. The only reason he is able to grift this well is people are desperate for people like Torba to tell them they have answers to problems they really don't.
