Andrew Torba / Gab (Gab.com / Gab.ai) / Dissenter (dissenter.com) - An incompetent captain sinking millions of other people's dollars.

Torba's in Trouble as well:

This is much more serious than the section 230 bs. Unless he's doing something outright criminal I can't see how he could be denied service.
Unless he turns himself black or troons out there are no discrimination protections for white men with dissident political opinions.

I'm surprised banks are allowed to unperson people like this.
They technically aren't.

They are de facto allowed to because of the Patriot act. It isn't technically legal de jure, but if "unbanking" practices were prosecuted, the Patriot act would be put in great peril. It should be obvious why that isn't being done.

Which plank of the Patriot Act allows this?

From what I understand, Title III, but it's a result of the anti-money laundering provisions in general. Banks are responsible for their own activities, forcing them to regulate themselves. If a bank is handling ISIS money or whatever, the onus is on the bank to "debank" them, but this has a side-result of making the banks proactive. Again, technically the banks aren't legally allowed to be "too proactive", but it seems to have been tolerated so far. There are some possibly intentional blind spots in the legislation.

I think repealing the PA only specifically helps Null do regular banking/servicing. MasterCard/VISA will just instruct paypal to stop doing business with X-person as do banks, but when he tried to sell shirts I think fraud was the cited reason they had to hold the money. I think most people who get kicked out of their banks like RedIce are done so out of political motivation then some sort of PA enforcement.

The Patriot Act is just a tool they use to enact action against people or organizations they deem problematic. If you have a problem with it, all criticism gets deflected and they insinuate you are a terrorist, support terrorism, or aren't in favor of America. It's a stupid infinite loop built into the name, kinda like Antifa or BLM - being critical of it can invoke a built in response that calls into question your morals, ethics, and character.

If they were to get rid of the Patriot Act, or loosen its ability to choke out peoples existence, the fact remains these are private companies, who own the infrastructure that allows B2B/B2C, and can just fall on the "We're a private company, and reserve the right to revoke service use without reason or notice" shit.

Torba is now going full QAnon. The grift must be getting thin!

It's already clear to me that QAnon is a cult that isn't that different from 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Social Justice Warriors' at this point.

Also, I'm not that surprised that Andrew Torba is now this involved with this political doomsday cult now.

As this point, I won't be surprised if the next 'Oklahoma City Bombing' happens and it gets linked back to Gab because Andrew Torba refuses to kick out the crazies from his platform because it's clear he hasn't learned his lesson the last time after that synagogue got shot up anyway.

This is just a disaster waiting to happen then.
