Android Hate Thread

I mean both of them have taken a general purpose computer and artificially locked them down and handicapped them into 'appliances' . They both fucking suck. Ever since smartphones came out I've been waiting for one that's basically my computer in my pocket and neither Apple or android or even custom android ROMs give me that and the few phones out there like that aren't really practical for using as a phone.

Why the fuck is there no device that fits in my pocket, lets me do whatever the fuck I want without restrictions and will make phone calls and send SMS through a phone carrier?

Otherwise aside from one stint with a Nokia windows phone, I've been a Android guy my whole life. It works pretty well if you go for midrange options and don't go for the most Walmart 5 dollar DVD bin option for your phone. It makes calls, texts, browses the web, and even though I rarely play mobile games, my A51 is more than capable of handling them

Do you not backup your photos to the cloud? I use OneDrive, so photos get backed up there automatically, then sync over to my PC.

If you want to stick with USB, maybe try MyPhoneExplorer. I haven't used it in a looooong time, but IIRC, it can backup photos automatically when the phone is connected, amongst other things.

No i dont use cloud , I have a SD card for photos, memes is where the usb comes in, and I don't trust megacorpos having my shit on their computers. I'll take a look at that software though, thx. Really I was talking the other way around however, putting files in. It's a hassle. Not hard just annoying.
