🧊 IP2 Andy Dick - From having his own tv show and being in movies with Pauly Shore to sleeping on a cot eating liver and onions, he truly is "living his best life"

He was never A-list. Comedians rarely hit that level.
I guess it depends on how you personally define A-list but he was about instantly recognizable as someone who was pretty much only in guest roles could be. I was a latchkey kid in the 90s and I remember Andy Dick being everywhere, TV and movies. If you look at his filmography you see that starting with Reality Bites he was working pretty much nonstop, with big names and in big projects, for two decades. He was never the star but everyone knew who he was.

In terms of the height of his fame and how far he's fallen, I think he's really in a class of his own.

I know he's a creep and a tweaker, but in comparison to usual cows, his antic are pale and hardly notable. Why people so enrhusiastic about this guy's misery?
Hes responsible for a murder suicide of phil Hartman, after he got his wife hooked on cocaine again.

Then he bragged about it after it happened.

This seems like a waste of good Narcan, but Dicks continued suffering is probably the most fitting punishment. No matter how long he lives he will always be known as the man that killed Hartman.
Every minute Andy Dick lives is a minute something better has died.
With all due respect, Hartman's wife was already addicted to coke and she would've gotten some with or without Andy's help. Whether or not she would have that night, that's why people blame Andy.
She had been in recovery a long time. He deliberately gave her cocaine to get her to relapse, out of pure evil. Then he taunted Jon Lovitz about it, saying "you're next." Lovitz smashed his face into the bar repeatedly until restrained.

Guy is an evil fuck. The day he dies is a day to celebrate. The world is worse for this asshole even breathing. He's worse than Boogie.

It’s clear he lives in misery for the last 20-30 years, if not longer.
Good. Suffer longer, evil little piece of shit.

No, she was off the stuff. He got her hooked again, leading to her relapse and bender, and murder-suicide that took Phil Hartman with her. Fuck this prick.

Here's Billy's video of the incident. I love how he keeps looking at the camera.

Here's the TMZ interview

I can't clip it because Billy deletes his streams and you can't rewind them. I"m not paying for his memberships.

I happened to catch Billy John's stream while TMZ was at his apartment filming the Andy Dick interview. Beforehand, one of Andy's friends called to ask if he was OK. She sounded like an older Jewish woman. Eddie Furlong had also called him the night before and told him that he could get sober if he did. Billy told Eddie that he liked him in Detroit Rock City and he said that Eddie thanked him for that sentiment three times, and seemed like a really nice and genuine guy.

Reminiscing on the incident, Billy said the first thing Andy did when the narcan wore off was ask for vodka. Billy and that other dude wanted Andy to wait until after the TMZ interview to have a drink. Billy went to CVS and got a narcan kit in case this happens again.

When TMZ got there, Andy flirted with the cameraman who sounded like a young gay black guy. They asked if he had spoken to his family (he hadn't), but he said he had. Andy sounded drunk, said he was friends with Harvey Levin, talked about how no one ever calls him until he almost dies and how this is the only way he will get Christmas wishes.

Andy says what happened is he was hanging out with Billy John and that other guy and then he ran off as he often does and found a homeless person who was his age. He took a hit off his foil (sounds like fent or blues, not crack) and that he "fell asleep." He doesn't know if he actually OD'd and he was playing it down. Andy often hangs out with homeless people because they have drugs.

Some people are saying this was a publicity stunt because there's an Andy Dick documentary in the works. They've been filming it in bits in pieces, following him around on gigs for the past year.

Billy and Andy going around Hollywood and filming IRL is nothing new and Billy mentioned that he kept filming because Andy gets mad when he isn't filming. Andy agreed and said, "have you ever had a boss?" So I guess he thinks he's Billy's boss. Billy thinks he's Andy's handler. They're both using each other as people in IP2 do.

He took credit. No one said he handed her the gun.

As to the A-list thing, he's a supporting character actor in a sitcom at best. Yeah, he had his own MTV show but so did Bam Margera and Andy Milonakis.

For instance, despite Sandler making everyone a shit ton of money, I wouldn't call him A-list either. Most A-listers are fucking boring.

Was he just destined to be this way? Or is it because he was adopted as a kid or something? I'm just curious why everything seemed great for him in his 20s and then suddenly he became a complete wreck starting in the late 90s.

He's one of those bridge-burning addicts who were too socially anxious and inhibited to do much harm realizing their selfish impulses while sober; and can no longer bear to live with themselves as a consequence of the reprehensible actions they perpetrate the moment they feel uninhibited by whatever anesthetizing substance they can get their grubby little hands on.

Super Dick is living out his remaining years in a perpetual stupor in the gutter because it and sleep are the only avenues for avoiding himself he can afford.

He doesn't understand or respect boundaries and prioritizes groping and assaulting random people, including celebrities, above any attempt at self-reflection or even self-awareness of his own motivations and addictions.

Will I have to move this thread to Lolcows of History soon?
Maybe not immediately, because somehow addicts like this seem to have a huge tard plus to their constitution so they roll their saving throws successfully over and over, but once you enter this particular spiral the odds are grim. He passed out in the classic fent pose. He's gonna die soon, maybe not in the next few months but definitely within a couple years.
