To continue the analogy it used to be that if you got banned for screaming faggot at the go-cart track you'd at least still own your go-cart but now you pay the same price and only get to ride it at the track, and if you're banned that's too fucking bad.

Which would be okay if they were charging a couple bucks for a round. Here it's like they sold you a go-kart that could only be used in that one place for full price and took it away for good for a variety of excuses they invent when they want to get out of running servers any more. So $60 stolen for acting in a way that's been normal on online games since they existed is a nice little scam.

- One character makes a slight homophobic remark, another character reacts poorly.
- First character follows this guy around later with his friends for several hours making gay remarks and talking about "Eliminating all Gays" and "Cleansing Queers"
- Character cannot be muted; there is no mute function.
- Character cannot be reported; there is no report function.
- Although they were eventually banned, it still took two full weeks of investigating.

Two weeks of investigation despite this mountain of evidence/full confession.
- The victim uploading footage of the offence and flagging Bethesda on twitter.
- The harasser uploading footage of the offence (Titled "Cleansing of the Queers")
- The harasser admitting to doing exactly what was described ("Yeah that was me, it was funny tho")

Basically, you're free to harass the shit out of anyone if FO76 just so long as they don't have a capture card.

First off, I agree with the ban. I think that in this day and age, it is very dangerous to say these types of things.

Reminder that in Fallout Canon the following things are true.
- Rape and Murder are common place, a join-able faction (Caesar's Legion) has several "rape camps" to grow their armies.
- Gay people are typically unwelcome in the Fallout world, specifically they are unwelcome in the Brotherhood of Steel for not breeding.
