A few months ago, in Maddie's thread, I mentioned finding the creative endeavors of autists to be strangely interesting.
I didn't really have a great example of a video series with this sort of quality come to mind until I ran across a few newer ones recently, reminding me of others that I thought had been lost years ago. Though these were made by more high functioning types than Maddie.
Now for the sake of having an easy name to refer to this type of video, and since I've never seen a term that specifically describes them, I'm going to use "Animated Mashup Series" (AMS) the "A" can really stand for autistic or animated, to be honest, because some of the worst gave off the feeling of seeing an alternate timeline where Chris Chan learned to make videos, rather than comics while others were surprisingly well done.
To give a quick working definition of the term, AMS are video series that take characters from multiple properties/brands/youtube channels and combine them together into a new story. They're similar to Abridged Series in tone and style but different in that they don't focus on a single franchise or attempt to summarize a show. They're also different from YTPs in that they usually use character/background assets to create new scenes, rather than just reediting clips of a movie/show. Essentially, imagine the video editing version of kids playing with dolls/action figures to make their own story.
They largely died out alongside early flash animation sites, such as Newgrounds, which had some of the most entertainingly terrible ones I can remember, however, some were put onto Youtube and in a few cases there are recently made examples with varying degrees of quality.
Examples:
Christian School is actually a few years older than Catholic School and it shows pretty strongly in the editing:
Mid-level autists who pursue creative endeavors like this have always interested me, they aren't low functioning enough to be unable to write but they also aren't high functioning enough to have original ideas, they just kinda mix and match things they see like a kid with scissors and a newspaper. Kinda want to see one of them try to be a DJ now, it'd probably just be hard cuts from the MLP theme to Loud House intermixed with random record scratches, I'd guess it'd just turn into an awful version of Pogo now that I think about it.

- The Wacky Adventures of Mundanematt! - Now lost, as far as I can tell. It was a 5 part series someone made mocking MundaneMatt/Maddox/Sargon during the Bouldergate time period. Only thing I can find now are thumbnails:
Anyone know what happened to The Wacky Adventures of Mundanematt! video series?
All 5 parts are now privated: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLswMJSdPYn0iUjoCWQepAGt09sCqaQk-n (https://archive.vn/F2p3f)
It was originally found and posted here by @Hatoful Dandy in early Janurary, 2019. Only thing I'm finding are some thumbnails/frames:

- Catholic School (24 episodes)/Christian School (6 episodes) - Two series created by Morrakiu, over a decade ago, in his fedora tipping libertarian days before he went full wignat and devolved into nonstop Jew sperging (I think he did the music for TDS based off some clips he uploaded to his channel but I've never watched it so I can't say for sure). If his username vaguely rings a bell, you probably saw some of his Chick tract readings or 'Alex Jones Lulz' edits that were pretty popular before others started hopping on those bandwagons. Catholic School in particular, was full of Youtube Atheist references/memes (he literally makes ThunderF00t a main character later on with Molyneux as a brief side character) and is a real time capsule. Turns out that both series, along with the rest of his old videos were archived (#1) (#2) despite being purged years ago.

- Society Squad - Saw a Kiwi mention this series months ago, only recently got around to watching it and, based off the update videos, the creator seems to have started viewing his shitposting as some form of high art, which makes it significantly funnier to me. In short, it's a series based off the Joker/Gangweed memes.
- PETER'S GAMER LEAGUE - A 5 episode series made by a friend of the creator of Society Squad, was deleted from the original channel, much lower quality editing and clearly made by someone younger.
- Murdoch Murdoch - I've tacked this onto the list at the last minute, while I've only seen sporadic clips outside of the two Skeptic episodes, in terms of the actual editing, it definitely fits under the definition I'm using here and in a lot of ways feels like an alt-right version of Catholic/Christian School (to the point that I had thought Morrakiu might have been involved with the series at first, especially considering he runs in the same circles).
- pantsahat - This one's different from the others (and doesn't cleanly fit the term) in that his videos use actual physically posed figures, are entirely episodic, and feature little continuity compared to the above serialized examples, he seems to have gone from making Lego stop motion a over a decade ago to Robot Chicken-style shitposts in the last few years, definitely seems to be the most self-aware person on the original list.
