It's lazy that all these animations basically contain the same content only with different characters.
A way to practice your animation and drawing skills? Of course.
A way to become famous and earn applause by everyone? Nah.

This is YouTube we're talking about here, for all we know they're just appealing to the lowest common denominator.

All things considered, even if they do like making these memes, I think it'd help them more if they tried doing other animations than just these small loops. Sure they are good practice, but eventually that'll be all they're good for, severely limiting any future job potential they could have.

Since it's clear that I probably didn't put nearly as much thought into this as I should and it probably isn't thread-worthy in the first place, should this be closed or just moved to the off-topic art board?

I'd argue for the latter, in all honesty. This is thread-worthy to some degree, just not lolcow worthy.

It's definitely threadworthy for the amount of drama that happens (see: cryssali/Valdroxx Studios, PKrussl, and the Sleepykinq allegations) so the best focus for the thread would be that rather than the cringey content that its creators produce.

The best ones are the Senpai memes where they use their Sans OCs and look more like a slideshow than an actual work of animation. That’s just them all in general, though.

There was also a big drama with users known pentagrin and stories who falsely accused a 16/17 of being a pedophile for dating a 14 year old cause spoctor didn't believe stories was 8.
