Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

It's a very quick and cheap way to show that someone is evil without either killing off a character/creating a character just to kill them off, also coomers.
Lust is also one of the top deadly sins in my opinion, its pretty common amongst villains of all types.

Anime is automatically better than a grand majority of modern Western cartoons and until the DEI shit is completely removed, there can be no argument otherwise.
It shocks me that western cartoons still limp on. Cartoon network is almost fucking dead at this point. What's left? Anime is the inheritor of 2D animation.
I was always conscious of this, so no, it's not a new discovery. However, it does explain why I got into anime, which is something I had been thinking about after Null said that something about anime, outside autistic or sexual traits, makes people fall in love with it while it filters others.
Nigga you don't need to overthink it. Just like it or don't. You're a grown ass man. Who gives a shit what other niggers think? Let it be autistic. That's why its fun.

Never underestimate the pockets of unemployed Tumblrites living in their parents' basements.

Personally I think its a bit too common, after I read somewhere on how the SAO author admitted he took writing classes because he couldn't think of how to write evil outside rape, it's been hard to ignore when an author starts using it as a crutch because they don't have much imagination outside of sex.

Is ROUNDABOUT the best anime ending song of all time? I think it even beats out Shouchi no Suke for One Piece and Naruto's OG ending song.
It's kinda cheating but it does so many things right that it really elevates it into being timeless:
* A good song.
* Fits the anime.
* Just fits the episode end format.
Currently watching fullmetal alchemist (2003) Honestly not as bad as many say it is
I bought a physical copy of the sequel movie so i will watch that as soon as i am done
That way i can resume my DBZ marathon lol
I wouldn't be surprised that the manga being better was such common argument that even people that didn't read it assumed as much.

Rank the JoJo ending and Opening Themes.

It always comes off more porny to me. Like, these are sleazy porn doujin setups and it's just the author being a pervert.

Why does every alien or cultist or spirit they encounter in Dandadan wanna rape Momo? I feel like every arc seems to have an attempted gang rape plot.
tonight's episode .webp

I always viewed it as the author parodying every stupid hentai trope out there but giving it a twist: instead of the usual content, the characters go "hell nah fuck this shit" and fight against the clearly absurd situation.

Don't foret Okarun also was a target: Granny tried shit with him during the first arc.

If we're talking the greatest ED of all time, and I do mean "of all time" since this ED will be 38 years old at some point this summer, my pick would be "Kanashii Heart wa Moete iru" by Kanako Wada, the second ED from the Kimagure Orange Road TV series.

See, on the one hand it's a really good song. On the other hand it has never struck me as a GTO song. GTO's peak song to me is one of it's openers, Driver's High by L'Arc en Ciel which is about as close to an unironic version of Let's Fighting Love as I've ever heard.
Yeah, Driver's High really is GTO to a T. Shamr we'll probably never see an anime like it ever again.

I quite like Ancient Magus Bride. At least the early parts of it. I found the whole Alchemist's Academy Arc to be rather dull and too inspired by Case Files. Was a Fate fan, came to hate it so I despise seeing Nasu's influence everywhere. Regardless, I've got more into the manga, collecting volumes and such. Got volume 20 now, and even the light novels. I did find Wizard's Blue to be disappointing so far. It feels too fast paced, and the fan service is quite irritating. It lacks the alien and wondrous element the early story had. You know, like seeing this other hidden world and learning magic beyond conflict with some enemy who's just misunderstood. I suppose that's just how Kore wants her stories to go, but I do miss just simple tales with our characters.
I'm still an addict and will collect every volume though.

Saw the new Panty and Stocking, and god I loved what they did with the new episode, so far it really feels like they still kept their touch
