I second Fire Punch, I consider it a truly masterful work. Better than the author's next work Chainsaw Man, imo, even if I maybe *like* CSM a little better, I consider Fire Punch's quality higher.
 
If I say most of my anime/manga experience is softcore/sometimes borderline porn type Ecchi; will I be relentlessly mocked? Cause even that stuff takes effort to do well. I wasted 3 hours of my life reading an awful manga that proved as much, cause it has all the elements; it was just garbage in everything it tried to do. If I'm gonna be a weirdo, I want to be an entertained weirdo. Just as an FYI that I'm not a complete coomer dipshit; I've watched all of the original Dragon Ball, Deadman Wonderland, Jojo Parts 1-3 + 5 and Parasyte The Maxim, to name some non-weirdo stuff.

Ciguatera - From the creator of the gross-out manga Ping Pong Club (you'll see the same artsyle with the over the top reaction faces) is a story about a geeky kid, his friend, a bully and his first girlfriend. There's bullying, revenge and trying to figure out how to be an adult and overcoming the past. There's 6 volumes and a total of 69 chapters. Hina Change - A body swapping story that actually deals with the consequences of pretending to be someone else, using other people and lying to them in order to get what you want and deals with emotionally manipulating people. Love in Hell - A guy that accidentally died ends up in hell and has to learn the way people survive there and learn to atone for their sins. He is assigned a trainee devil girl who is clumsy, cute and kind of likes him. Dude, I'm serious; it's actually garbage, not even in a "well at least it's funny trash" way, it's just bad. I'd unironically feel like an asshole if I made you aware of it's existence. All I'm going to tell you is that it started in 2014 and it's only received/had announced a live action thing for it as opposed to any anime in the 8 years since.

I watch garbage anime just to see how garbage they can be. Need to balance out the good with some real shit, you know? You can PM it to me if you don't want anyone else to know about it, I legit am just super curious about it.
 
I remember back around 2007-2008 ish there was an April Fools announcement of a Negima/Hayate no Gotoku crossover

What about Fire Punch makes you think it's of higher quality? I'm not trying to talk shit, I just legit want to know because you might have noticed something I totally missed which is likely given the complexity of such a weird manga like Fire Punch.
 
I'm not quite sure how to verbalize it. I was sick and read the entire manga in an afternoon while looping some of my favorite music so I'm sure that all comes together to create a weird bias for me. It's the same reason some dorks would say Nier/Automata is a greater work than something more to the point and action packed. I remember CSM characters and events more clearly than I do Fire Punch's, but the things I felt while reading it were stronger than what I felt while reading CSM, if that makes sense. Kind of a non-answer, but that's the best I got.

Change the World (Kanzaki Yuuya): 5 volumes. Sympathetic characters, bungled plot with missed opportunities, terrible morals, rape (the author hates women but it's not obvious in a short manga).

Destroy and Revolution (Mori Kouji): 9 volumes. The gayest shit I've ever read and an absolute laugh riot because the author is sincere. Answers the question "is it possible to have a strong work ethic and still be a lolcow" with a resounding YES. Your money back if your brain isn't bleeding at least a little afterward.

Happiness (Oshimi Shuzo): 10 volumes. Teenage vampires sniffing each other's crotches.

Helter Skelter (Okazaki Kyoko): 9 chapters. A classic literary manga.

Ningen Shikkaku (Furuya Usamaru): 3 volumes. Manages to make the protagonist even more of a subhuman than the original, and the artist is more sympathetic to him than Dazai was to himself. (Dazai: Look, this is me. I'm literally subhuman, because none of you are this shitty. bb killing myself. Furuya: *skritch skritch* omg that's literally me! how hawwt! how sexxxxxxy!!11! *cum explosion*)

Pluto (Urasawa Naoki): 8 volumes. Literary Tezuka fanfiction.

Witches (Igarashi Daisuke): 2 volumes. Artsy feminist nonsense, pretty pictures tho. Read Ye (Guilherme Petreca, a Brazilian gentleman weeb) if you want more of the same.
