I have no idea why Chris Sabat hasn't been lynched. He's voicing a black main character in the most black stereotype manner possible in this show, plus he's also famous for voicing two characters in DBZ (Piccolo, Vegeta) that fans love to interpret as black.

Yeah I watched the anime first and I thought it was decent but after reading the manga for it. I despise the anime adaptation. I wish it'd receive the FMAB treatment and get a proper faithful adaptation.

Amazon got streaming rights for show now. My guess they just wanted their own cast in there. KV niggers are furious that Rial and Marchi got recast.

Because even the wokeskolds like the Panty and Stocking dub. Yeah he plays a very racist interpretation of a black man. It's also funny as shit, and has been so ingrained that it's a sacred cow like Ghost Stories.

I'm also looking at all these sex jokes and being inexplicably reminded of Digibrony defending Kill La Kill by saying "It's okay that there's so many nudie jokes because the girls look ugly and I'm not attacted to any of them". It's like an entire new level of nerd disassociation/projection.

That's been getting torn down too, recently. I've seen a handful of comments along the likes of "The dub studio didn't care about this anime, so they deliberately refused to do their job and instead filled the track with a bunch of tasteless shock humor and antisemitism". I've also heard the show's getting a redub one of these days.

Tell that to the blu ray sales. Yeah it's Discotek. It still makes them a fuck ton of money. Nobody would watch Ghost Stories if it wasn't an Abridged

It is a show you watch once or with friends. It definitely gets more unhinged as it goes on, but surprisingly there is a lot of stuff you have to wade through to get to the kino bits

You're not supposed to binge Ghost Stories, that's the problem. The jokes hit harder when you're just casually watching an episode for some spoopy scenarios you expect in a kids' show, and then you get randomly hit with a scene of characters yelling at each other in Spanish, Aoyama essentially sexually harassing Satsuki, or Monica's character proselytizing to the retarded kid (who also just screams and cries gibberish every episode).

But the best part is hands down Rob Mungle's Salem impersonation for Amanojaku, and I don't think he was actually trying to sound like Nick Bakay at all, he just tends to sound like that.

3 episodes in. Seeing all these upskirt tease shots, I'm realizing that a lot of people don't really understand when a show is being cheesecakey unless it's explicitly panty shots or uncovered nipples. I myself remember feeling baffled at how people said that MHA Vigs was too fanservicey until I realized "oh yeah, there's a lot of shots looking up at Pop Step's legs even if you can't see her groin beneath her skirt".
