Half of the kosher monopolies responsible for the sub-saharanizing of western media already have their tendrils in Nippon (Warner Bros. Japan etc.) and they didn't do diddly shit about stopping that. I suspect Japan retardedly wants the scraps from the (((globalist)))'s table. And they are so desperate for those scraps after 35 years of economic rot. They will gladly "netflix up" every single property they can if it, however temporarily, increases their bottom line. I've been lamenting this kind of thing for 15 years. To get a small idea of what "attempting to court a global audience" looks like, think about modern goytendo's kosher practices. Do you think something like Super Mario Bros. Wonder just accidentally put taj mahal buildings everywhere alongside new elephant powerups? This shit ain't subtle, and it's clearly geared towards getting more Ganges enjoyers in the door.

Back to anime, look at studios like Trigger or David (fitting name that) Production absolutely selling the fuck out for netflix shekels. Look at live action Deathnote, Cowboy Bebop, and even One Piece selling its ass for some action on streaming services. The Nipponians better wake the fuck up and realize their "culture" is being whored out to the lowest bidder, and has been for a while, all to court the nebulous "western" market.

Sakurai was right, if Japanese corporations would just focus on making content for Japanese people, westerners would still buy it up anyway, it's the entire reason anime became big in the first place - it isn't the same as the zogged west. Turning anime into the zogged west just turns every pasture into the same burning field full of niggers.

It all depends on the context here because the word "wholesomeness" is mistranslated and the actual wording is "healthiness of cultural development instead of profits". Given the context here it could very well mean almost anything including the exact reverse of what it means on paper like someone before said. I'll just wait and see what happens until guy becomes Prime Minister. Sanseito is still a fringe political cult and it would take at least a year before major developments occur.

Pokemon literally has its own Sweet Baby Inc style cultural diversity board.

They do NOT have so many black characters before 2019.

It's weird that out of all the old well known IPs that YouTubers like to bring out, .hack is still dead. Don't know if to be sad it might be forgotten, or happy it won't be remembered as some tranny 5 hour YouTube essay.
 
Kinda zany how Panty & Stocking, of all people, showed how cool it would be to animate classic comics... But no dice so far.

Batman Ninja 2: Vs the Yakuza League also had a minor reference to Kingdom Come, and it looked equally awesome.

I don't remember outright simping.
Sign was the heroine being abused and getting trapped.
.hack was saving your friend from a coma.
GU was saving your girlfriend from a coma, which would have been simping if the Haseo didn't get his own harem in the process.
 
Holy shit, Dadadan's new episode is cringe as fuck. I wanna punch the main dude for being such a huge pussy, literally the most pathetic character I've ever seen.
