Lain deserves an ultimate cut by some autist that pretty much just drops 90% of the moaning power-lines thus reducing the length by two whole episodes.

I thought Lain was cool but I'd also understand if anyone under the age of 30 didn't "get it" because it was incredibly prescient about social media based internet retardation for an anime written during America Online's heyday. Basically he was right about everything except for the Ayy Lmaos and Apple ever amounting to anything in Desktops post 1990.

I also love the gimmick of the OP taking place after the end of the series.

Gotta love how Frieren's Demons continue to be unashamedly evil no matter what. The show has its flaws, but having absolutely evil monsters taken seriously is gold in Current Year (TM), as it triggers the woketards like goblins. Hell, the characters refer to a demon as "it", not a "they".
 
Jesus Christ new Fate has AT LEAST 30 fucking characters. It can only end badly with so much juggling between scenes, doesn't help the jump in tone. Of course Gil got downgraded to being completely ineffectual despite being completely broken in the original.

And the main characters are so unbelievably boring I don't get what's the point in them. She actually makes Apocrypha's main character look good in comparison.

Speaking of which, even Apocrypha was smart enough to kill one side's masters to massively reduce the cast. The member-berries and loli pandering in this episode didn't help.

I think we're getting multiple seasons at this point, 13 episodes is not enough to finish this lol. I did like the fight, even if the sword spam didn't kill the guy for some fucking reason.

Usual nu anime fight, way too much particle effects in a location without any geography to have fight coordination. It's the usual filler fight that you already know that no one would die since they still need to introduce like 5 more servants.

It may be "filler", but I didn't expect a death this early either. We have 13 servants to get to. I think once the cast gets assembled it'll get more serious

Damn ayaka and saber seemingly in their own world separated from the rest of the anime. They're on their own rom com anime while there's Holy Grail war ongoing lol. Nice transition from saber band session to fight ost. Remind me Hathaway flash transition from clubbing scene to mobile suit fight scene.
 
Finished reading Land of the Lustrous. Apart from the interesting premise and unique art style, it was all over the place in terms of pacing and in general. Really strange but decent.
And then I started reading City, which is quite hilarious. Have to give Nichijou another try at some point.
