Why are you lying?

Cyborg 009, GeGeGe no Kitarou, Saint Seiya, Gundam and so on all happened to be made again multiple times.

Japan always did remakes, we have TONS of it, the reason for it may be as varied as anything.
Right, and how many a year were there? Because the ones I listed are all from 2025 and 2026. I wasn't lying, I think there's a notable uptick in remakes; that doesn't mean they never got made ever in the past. If you think I am wrong, show me another two year span that had 7+ remakes because I personally don't remember it.

I might have to add Chained Soldier to the read and watch list this year.
Don't wait, watch it now. If you're a well cultured individual it is S tier.
It is PEAK fiction

Watched the latest Fate episode, holy shit the introduction of new characters just doesn't end, and the incest twins are more annoying than fun. It reminds me of the psycho bitch from Kill la Kill and that was released 13 years ago.

Might be better to make a thread for it and other Type Moon IPs so we don't spam the general anime thread.

Nah, I like seeing people talk about it even if I don't watch it. A show specific thread would just die too fast anyways, might as well share it with the class.

I don't think multiple anime threads is a good thing, it will make the job of our mods harder if people start to make threads for every single big anime/fotm. This thread has a nice speed, I don't see a problem with a focused discussion from time to time.

Also, don't forget we are just tolerated here, mantaining a low profile is the best course of action.

Anyway, here's a good surprise from this season: Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites). It's another romance anime where people talk about their feelings/misunderstandings instead of autistically echoing voices inside their head and dragging down 5 episodes because of a slightly different definition of a word (I'm looking at you, Kimi ni Todoki). It's basically teenagers learning how to date, but it's a very light and funny slice of life - way lighter than Kaoru Hana.

We are eating good, romance bros.

I think it's an exaggeration, the thread here is old as fuck, and anime today is very normie and tends to be way less risque than it was two decades ago.
They're actually the same person
Seemingly the witch summoned herself as a servant, despite her clearly being evil? It's just needlessly complex, even for a book series.

Welcome to anything Kinoko Nasu related. In the same manner as Shirou Emiya meeting his future self in the original Visual Novel, Francesca summoned her historical self Francois because "technically" he died and therefore was recorded into the Throne of Heroes

things weren't nearly this conviluted and nonsensical before
why the fuck prelati is some roa equivalent and also some weird godspawn bullshit is beyond me but nasu gave narita the go ahead and needs to live with all the cancer he has wrought

They were always this convoluted. It's all one big self masturbatory work bringing the best and worst of the Nasuverse out. And I'm still gonna watch weekly, and you wanna know why? Because my monkey brain loves dumb fun action, which is precisely what I'm getting and going to get in Jack vs Alcides

He needs to read more comics. Stuff like Walking Dead and Invincible exist, which are more comparable to One Piece.

Has not changed the fact no one is still buying them even with adaptations.

Comics fell to the investment speculator market decades ago like retro games almost did. Manga would fall this way too if it had more Jews there doing Jew shit. Fortunately, it does not... yet.

On a similar note, One Piece in particular now has a similar problem that cape comics do in now it has a much higher barrier of entry given its longevity and may be too overwhelming for a brand new reader to immediately hop into. This isn't that big of a deal given how One Piece frames its narrative, but that's frequently brought up as one reason why people "can't get into comics."

There is a big difference between western and eastern comic industries. Western comics have better scale and character history, as well as colours. You could do big events way better in it, and the legacy can result in great moments.
Eastern industry is more of a free market where the weak are culled, and talented people are worked to death, or get fucked if they piss the wrong people off. It also tends to either have no endings or terrible ones.

Currently the eastern comic industry works better because the western one burned every good will remaining and is playing it overly safe, plus having abysmal nepotism. But people are deluding themselves if they think the eastern comics aren't 95% derivative trash, and the good shit will get cancelled after 10 issues or until the author keels over.

Comparing One Piece to a random shmuck writing Superman isn't fair, a more correct comparison is between it and some legendary comic run in the last 20 years (assuming one exists).

Ummm ACKTUALLY I think you'll find that hero EMIYA is counter force and not Throne of Heroes because Grail-kun don't give a fuck.

My favorite hypothetical scenario is summoning Heracles 6 times across the original classes and one Maeda as caster.

He's in both. Redman couldn't make it on his own so he asked the Collective Unconscious to give him super powers to be a hero. So it did. Every Counter Guardian is a Heroic Spirit, not all Heroic Spirits are Counter Guardians
