I think the entire cast starting from the Bomb Girl arc was solid, it did a good job to make the reader fall under the illusion that it's the usual manga case of settling into normality after a high intensity start.
Some characters like Quanxi were completely worthless though and the rest were pretty expendable. Im surprised out of all the options he chose to bring back Quanxi in Part 2 who proceeds to do nothing...again.

I can understand why Brotherhood is acclaimed, it's a rare case of a shonen with an interesting premise, nice characters, and an ending that doesn't shit the bed. Too bad other authors don't copy it.

It does a good job of trimming out the fat from the manga as well, I've read it a long time ago and I remember it dragging a little towards the end.

Changing the subject entirely, MHA Vigilante does a good job of making Aisawa a more sympathetic character. I didn't like him on the first seasons of MHA with all that strict bullshit, but now I understand. Good job author, you're better than the original author.
Vigilantes proved that I was right, the reason I just don’t like MHA is because Deku is such a shit mc that it drags down the whole series.
Literally everyone and everything else that is good and cool and interesting about MHA is brought down for me because we have to follow this absolute crybaby cretin as opposed to anyone else who’s actually interesting. Bakugo has a better story, Miro is just that nigga, Endeavor’s character growth was peak, All Might is HIM, Todoroki has a more interesting arc, even Ochaco has more going for her than Bitchmade Green Tanjiro.

10/10 for the yaoi hands
what is with women and men's hands?
this shit is legitimately fucking weird
it'd be like every guy and toes

Sometimes you want to read something that just caught your attention. It isn't well talked, or even mentioned, not even by other manga fans. This was me with 1996 manga Genzo Hitogata Kiwa. 5 volumes, a short manga about a karakuri maker and user in the Sengoku period. It is a complete time capsule not just for the manga itself but the shitty translation and shitty font. It is from 2003 by someone who was probably learning Japanese, so not MTL quality, just a lower and ancient breed of translation.

In the first chapter there is this princess who wants to make a karakuri of her betrothed since he was killed by her uncle who wanted to marry her instead to get her moneys. The karakuri maker refuses saying she is self serving and didn't care for the dead guy at all.

So she kisses the corpse (not a fresh one at all) and convinces the karakuri maker to do it.

After this she gets her independence and acts as the leader of her clan, but she still wants to fuck the karakuri maker and isn't shy about it, being constantly cockblocked by other people.

A few chapters later there was man who people wanted to have a son to continue his lineage. And there was a thing capturing young boys, it turns out that the lord was the only doing this because he couldn't fuck women and was a gigantic pederastic harem owning fag and was the one capturing the kids. Supposedly he had a kid back then that was captured too, but he knew that he was the big fag and that kid couldn't be his, so he killed his wife and lock away his "son".

So eventually they fight the karakuri and he is locked inside it, his own retainers appears and impale the faglord, killing him, his "son" is so mindbroken that he kills himself in the harem tower castle by fire.

I had already read other shorter manga by this author but his most famous work is 3x3s eyes. Does anyone know about it?

Saw the new Frieren and really like it

Some of the animation was less good than it was in S1 which is odd and a recurrent complaint for S2.

Been reading Naruto lately, and I am done with eleven volumes so far. It's neither good nor bad so far, but I am not sure what the tone of the series is supposed to be. It feels like Kishimoto was just throwing random ideas around to see what would stick. Going to continue because I am genuinely curious to see how the series develops.

Latest episode is yet another confirmation that all demons must be killed without exception, even the children ones, because they all want you dead and don't understand/care about human emotions, period. And yet, this triggers certain kind of RL people, heh.

I still haven't heard a satisfactory explanation as to why on Earth Frieren is apparently the greatest anime ever made according to MAL.
Also, I knew I was becoming an unc when I looked at the top of all time on MAL and did not recognize almost any show on there.

It unites a lot of modern interests into one show

Newfags vote.

The emotional cache of it is something that either resonates with you or it doesn't. If it does, it hits hard, so I wasn't too surprised it hit #1.
I'm sure a lot of the audience (like anyone under 30) is just going along with the popularity though; the setting and action and stuff are just alright if you ignore (or are oblivious to) the cry errytime aspect.

I can't entirely blame them, almost all of the media they've grown up with has tried to assign some kind of moral complexity to its villains. When something tries to go for something simpler, a villain or race of villains that are as straightforward as can be, they get frustrated because the writing isn't what they've come to expect. That lack of something "more" to the villains is called bad, because it is "less" than what they have seen. Even Fist of the North Star had Kenshiro bury Shin even though he was the biggest dickhead and completely ruined Kenshiro's life. What the kids don't understand is that it's ok for something to be as simple as "CRUSH DEMONS. KILL DEMONS. SLICE A DEMON HEAD OFF WITH A KATANA"

and then there's those guys who look at the evil race of evil demons who are evil and want to be evil and nothing but evil, and say "um isn't this racist towards blacks?"

Something anime related since it is from Animax Asia, Kawaii Girls was a contest featured on Animax Asia’s Mad Mad Fun in 2007, sponsored by Levi’s, with the goal of finding the cutest girl in the metro. Some of the notable contestants were Alodia Gosiengfiao, Tricia Gosingtian, and Luane Dy.

Nah, media has no issues with unambiguously evil person/group if it's an uncute male racist/rapist.

The issue is that DECADES of edgelords created the situation that demons are always the good guys or misunderstood while "Humans/Angels are the real baddies" and presenting it as somehow innovative despite being a decade long standard. The people going against it immediately associate with culture war/religion because they do it to literally everything.
