Pretty obvious FSF is gonna need at least another season. I enjoyed it living up to it's namesake, it's a strange fake HGW. So long as these two keep showing up I'll keep watching.

Oh yeah they already greenlit the second season. It was always gonna be split up until Narita finished the novels, which he gave an estimate of "sometime this year"

I rewatched two episodes of Fate/EXTRA TODAY, 3 and 4.

Guys... I believe I am starting to like it. They are doing something that when I watched when it came since I didn't had context but now I do and it makes so much sense to play with those concepts.

One was with Shinji, he was just a kid in the game playing games, but in the anime he grows up and is acting as a manager for the entire city for the masters who gave up. He is now a grown up version who was raised in such a situation that makes sense for him character to go that way.

And the other is the duo Dan Blackmore and Robin Hood which have their characterizations reversed from the original game: Dan stops being the chivalrous knight that he was just to achieve victory at all costs. Robin who was the sleazy one who had to be reprimanded now is the one trying to not be as hardcore as he was before.

If the anime ends and I ended up liking, this will be a very weird surprise, since before rewatching, this was the Fate series I disliked the most.

I really want to drop Apothecary Diaries. It's just chapter after chapter of Maomao acting like that "Smart characters written stupidly" macro about BBC Sherlock. Please, can someone tell me when @wtfNeedSignUp's spoiler from this post:
What I said is known by episode 12 of the first season (for some reason I though it was earlier). You get more bits and pieces over the next season, but in general no one will ever write a romance of a woman and a eunoch.
The little girl summoned The Pale Rider from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I'll give Narita that, it's an unexpected ass pull that would make Nasu proud. Those bacteria btw? It made the Meso American gods. Came from the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. Yes it's that stupid, because Nasu found out the Guatemalan peninsula is roughly where that impact happened.
It would have been cooler and more logical if she had a contract with Santa Muerte that fits more the evil being that is seen as a hero in those parts. The furry alien was absolutely ridiculous and yet one more character to one of the most massive casts I've seen in a show that refused to kill anyone.

It's far better if you played the game beforehand and feels downright apocalyptic. The biggest blunder is not making that clear to the viewers who thought they were getting the game experience.

I watched more 3 episodes, the conclusion of Dan and Nursery Rhyme/Alice episode.

I remember liking the Alice arc the most back then and still like it now. And now I like it even more. It deals with Cyber Ghosts, one of the concepts used in EXTRA. In the game, I guess in the prologue if you go to the third floor you can see Alice walking there. She alongside Twice are the only ghosts you see in the game, but since the Mooncell can record these phenomena, they can be active in seraph.

Also, I am really liking the lore of this series: every decision that comes from above has repercussions inside. Alice becomes a monster after consuming things she needed to exist. And she is also one of the reasons to why masters gave up and got back to the first floor.

One thousand years is a long time, but for the Mooncell it means nothing.

I really like Twice in the game and can't wait to see him in the anime. 6 mores episodes to go.

Finished the first season of the anime with the guy who wants to be a Kamen Rider. Very nerdy and stupidly fanservice at times, but it was hilarious and cool on its own way. Being so determined that everyone can see your "inner Kamen Rider-sona" literally shining was pure lulz. I hope there's another season because there's not much of the manga itself online.

I really like Twice in the game

Twice genuinely sucks. He's a high schoolers report on Nietzsche that went through several mistranslations to Nasu's desk for study. Imagine being so pitiful and shit at life that it takes a literal messiah to come down from the heavens to help you.

He is a great character. He is one of the examples of how good intentions can be eroded by time and repetition. The still alive Twice and the seraph twice are different beings with the same origin but different outcomes.

This setting only could exist in Fate/EXTRA and when you see the fate/EXTRA lore, he isn't wrong. The world will end up dying, the big war that he wants is a way to save what is left, them leaving for the mooncell is a better alternative than living shitty lives under the european plutocracy.

I wish the game had an option to accept his choices for us to see the outcome.

YouTube for whatever reason recommend me the Atashin'chi channel and I have been watching random episodes recently. It's a slice of life depicting a random Japanese family and their daily life. Its funny and laid back, and I have been enjoying it quite a bit.

Otherwise, I am done with Vol 19 of Naruto. It's okay so far but a bit of a mixed bag. Orochimaru and Kabuto basically getting away scot-free like some James Bond villain felt a bit too contrived. I understand it's to keep the story rolling, but it could have been done with a bit more grace.

He is a great character.
A character that does not fit in this story well at all. His buildup is a line from Taiga in the prologue and a ghostly visage early on for about three seconds. Leo has better build up, Julius has better buildup, even Shinji has better buildup. Not to mention presence and actual effect on the story and narrative.

Aw jeez, you're right. It's not like Nasu has done that better and even before and even in the same game.1000003012.webp

Which is why Rin and Rani exist in the first place. They present alternatives to the stagnation that Leo and the plutocracy represents. By learning to be human again, to try and to take risks.
I wish the game had an option to accept his choices for us to see the outcome.
It does though. You can admit that Twice isn't wrong intellectually and logically. But he's wrong ethically and spiritually- which makes YOU more Human than he could ever be. It's why he didn't enter the Angelica Cage. We know he could have at any point if he had the courage and hope to do so. But he didn't, constantly thinking with his Frankenstein Computer God brain. He is no better than Leo or the Plutocracy no matter how he tries to word it.

I got bad recommendations and ended up watching both seasons of Panty & Stocking. I don't know what i expected from the title but it's as raunchy as expected. It's basically ultrashort, youtube video-sized episodes with throwaway nonsensical plots, mostly revolving around bad sex or gross-out jokes.
It did get me a few times, although most of it honestly it wasn't very good, with a lot of low-brow toilet jokes that ceased being funny in middle school ; kinda inconvenient considering how "adult" the show is. I liked the random switch between completely different styles for shits and giggles, but that's about it.
There's little more to plot or character-wise, since it's extremely episodic, which i normally wouldn't mind but the problem is that when i tries to have a plot or a pay-off there's nothing to really work with and it just falls flat on its face.
Sometimes it DOES try to worldbuild or have somewhat of a coherent plot, but it makes so little sense that i don't even think it's worth discussing it here. I could if you want, but it's a mess.

Season 1 was probably the least worst, with the best episodes probably being the more "experimental" ones, although there's still not much there.
Season 2 was apparently made like 15 years later and it shows ; a LOT of it is basically current-thing episodes or referential episodes that don't have anything interesting or funny happening in them, aside from "oh look the characters are all drawn like old Fantastic 4 cartoons !" or "hey look guys Instagram !". The two gay dudes are mildly funny at first, especially with the retarded zoomerspeak since i watched it dubbed, but like the demon sisters of the first season they overstay their welcome and end up just being annoying.

Honestly it's just not worth the time.
It did sometimes remind me of the old Lupin III manga (which was also very raunchy), but Lupin mostly stuck with sex jokes and could actually be consistently funny in a lot of other ways, on top of occasionally actually taking itself seriously.
Panty & Stocking tries sometimes but cum/piss/poop/fart/bogeys gets old real fast. Can't understand how this show got popular in the first place honestly.

I remember thinking season 1 was good, but I was barely 20 and even more retared than I am now. I watched like 2 episodes of season 2 before forgetting about it.

Is anyone watching hell's paradise. I'm really enjoying it, it's fast paced and the power escalation is well paced and foreshadowed. It's fast paced and villains don't get multi episode backstories trying to make you feel for them. Another thing is that although there are a couple of main characters, since its so fast paced a lot of the cast does die.
Pretty good imo,

He doesn't need to have a build up from before his section, all info we got was from his interludes and his section of the game. That is enough to be effective. Even more when there are two Twice: the human and the one in Mooncell. The one we face is the Mooncell one with their own view on the problems of the moon holy grail war.

And Archer isn't the same as Twice, they are similar but Twice was not in a position of despair, he was still attempting to save his version of humanity with the power of the Mooncell and using an endless war to continue his version of humanity. And our turn is just another attempt for him. He has still a chance if we could do his way but that isn't possible in the game, but the fact is that only one master can leave, it is us or him. And the game knows that humanity is doomed in Fate/EXTRA timeline and reinstated in FGO itself ad subjective of pruning. Twice understoods that they are fucked and wants eternal war to force humanity to a different path..

Rin and Rani were never alternatives to the problem, they in fact are victims of it: Rani being the last one of Atlas and Rin still fighting the europeans. Outside of the Mooncell they basically already lost, that is why their only chance to change it is inside and they lost to us already.

which makes YOU more Human than he could ever be.
Of course, he is still a master and NPC, if he touches the mooncell, he will be deleted because he is an anomaly (NPC), he needs a pure master. he doesn't care about your wishes as long you make war eternal in order to scar humanity so they will never forget.

He can't touch it because he is an anomaly, not because he couldn't beat the other masters (he did). But because he couldn't convince them to do as he did. And us represents his ideal in the result of the fights, if we accepted and we got to see the result, that would be quite interesting to see.

And even when he loses, he still see us as the answer that he wanted to achieve, he never regretted his path. If you pick Nero, the dialogue isn't as good as Archer or Tamamo, because one kinda has a similar experience and one knew Twice as she was his servant.

And when Hakuno chooses just to go back to his own frozen body, not a single problem was solved, he even loses his own cultivated identity inside the moon holy grail war.

He doesn't need to have a build up from before his section
Brownoid, yes you do need effective buildup for an effective villain and payoff from the final confrontation. It's why Leo works better as a final antagonist because he is present and clearly states his objective and philosophy are which conflicts with our own. A secret boss at the end that no one saw coming is useful only for fanservice and as a completion bonus WHICH THEY ALREADY DID WITH SHIKI.
And Archer isn't the same as Twice
You're right. Archer is in fact better because he actually worked through his despair rather than trying to flip the table like an impudent child losing at chess.
Of course, he is still a master and NPC, if he touches the mooncell, he will be deleted because he is an anomaly (NPC), he needs a pure master.
A pure Master isn't required. Hakuno is an NPC and can still make a wish on the Grail just before being deleted- that's the ending to the fucking game. Instead of having digital balls, Twice wants to sit back and have someone else do his job for him. He's not a good villain he's just some half baked "war is bad" statement
