What you do is ditch the weapons and go full meta extreme rock paper scissors (with cheat items). Perfect excuse for Shaft to do Zetsubou lookarounds.

I don't think the original extra game straight adaptation would be good regardless, the story is too barebones, even the anime got right into using floors, most of the time the game is set on the school.

I hope the remake game changes the story in almost all levels, because it really needs it. Singularities in FGO had better stories than the entire game (the vibe of extra is top level tho, but that can't be captured on anime).

Takeuchi designed all EXTRA servants, wada just refined them, but overall Extra are his designs.

Chainsaw Man Ending is the Otokozaka of the third millennium but somehow worse. It was so shitty that people don't even have strength to complain because it would be so bothersome

I haven't started that show yet, mainly because of the Makima Simps. Is it worth the watch? Story good? Animation quality?

Chainsaw Man is a idiot manga, you don't get anything by paying attention, the art is very shoddily made and the story isn't worth it.

It is one of those manga that you read an entire volume in 20 minutes. There is barely any things to praise, which I would say is the monster designs but you still find better ones in other works.

Not really newsworthy but it looks like Mangadex pushed a new update to the site. In the side banner there's now a list of payment processors they use for their support scheme:

There's no official statement I could find about it, but EtherealNeko (the head admin) talked about it in the forums, which seems to have flown under most people's radars.

We will provide development and roadmap updates going forward. We will try to do it once a month, but if not enough has changed, we will skip the update until the month after. We don't have an ETA on these yet, we will try to add them when possible.

UI:

  1. Considering adding a page selector to the top of the uploads list on the title page
  2. Title and chapter comments on the platform for supporters (currently, forum threads)
    1. We will look at importing comments from the forum into the new system
  3. Expand social and comments on the platform to group 2
    1. Group 1: Dex-chan supporters (already has access)
    2. Group 2: Data contributors (getting access next)
    3. Group 3: Users (will get access after spam prevention is set up)
  4. Payment icons (see NamiComi footer for an example) and other compliance information
  5. More tooling for platform moderators to help resolve user reports
  6. DMCAs from March 2025 to be added to the transparency report. First batch will be the ones that used the system, second batch will be the ones from CODA and COA, also known colloquially as "the massacre"
System:

  1. PIR endpoint (retrieves account data, thanks Bartolumiu!) to join the account deletion endpoint
  2. API abuse enforcement for systemic retrieval that doesn't conform to ToS or the API guidelines
    1. The access issues of the last couple of weeks, where MangaDex was degraded, were due to this
  3. Android and iOS app release preparations
  4. Reading tracking preparations
  5. Platform notifications on Web

I'm not sure why they're hellbent on this "social platform" nobody asked for, my guess is to make them look better in license talks. I noticed that what they're doing with NamiComi is the exact same playbook Fakku and Crunchyroll used before going legit themselves, except they are smarter by keeping it a third party to avoid backlash. I give it a year tops before Nami strikes some deal with some publisher, "buys out" MD since they are separate legal entities, and then purges it immediately after.
Regardless it's pretty funny that Null is blacklisted from basically every payment processor but somehow a literal piracy site (for the time being) gets the go-ahead.
 
Finished the 10 episode of Fate/EXTRA lost encore, now there is another 3 episodes of the OVA. I wonder why they were late with this back then? What made then delay so damn much.

OF these 3 episodes one focused on the Dead face concept that is quite cool and in line with the original game, the other is basically Julius vs Hakuno and Saber vs Berserker (the fights in this anime are so damn shit it is quite funny) and the last episode was basically the Mooncell screaming to Hakuno to choose a route. I like the idea of the stalemate going so long that the entire world is full of gae bolgs and lu bu spears.

And hakuno choose both but rani dies mid process. This was so shitty, instead of showing him attempting and then we see them die, Rin just wokes up and we see him trying to fix Rani.

Overall I liked it more than the first time I watched but to be honest it seems it would be better to be in novel format or something. Maybe adapting extra was always a mistake, if it was going to go full original, just make a full original anime instead.

But seeing some scenes straight from the game and the school was quite cool.


Ah, Twice appeared again and he was just: fuck these damn humans, I will shut down mooncell and that is it.

They got buttfucked by a huge DMCA thing not too long ago so they're probably trying to go legit.

I've had better luck with a website called Weebcentral lately for manga chapters.
