Update on the Foxtail Manga- it's very clear the author and artist have a giantess/vore fetish. I do like Extra Shinji even more now, despite that he is indeed Shinji. Violet not being in FGO is a crime against humanity, the fact that they actually aged up Kazuradrop was a welcome surprise, BB remains forever CUCKED. I'm only on Chapter 81 I think so I'm nearing the climax, but I have so far enjoyed it. I do question what will happen between Suzuka and Kazuhito. The weird way she treats him as a boyfriend despite him being a child aside, they're good rivals for ChatGPTno and Tamamo.

After years I reread the first volume of Ghost in the shell HA and it is still great.

I love Tsunagi, she is cute and funny

Even in the future there will be trannies who didn't pass and they can even change their bodies... Sad.

Also you can found female assassina who lives inside very fat chinese bodies working as assassins for the chinese triad.

Also I love how they keep the funny little faces just like the manga as they still have the very realistic style of the artist.

I will be watching this. I also still need to finish my winter anime. I got burnt the fuck out.

Also holy shit. You fucking spergs. I'm not a big GITS guy, but i saw the movie, have it on a 4k disc. Its neat. This looks neat as well for different reasons. Can everyone stop being fucking autistic and enjoy shit? Don't give tired cat bait.

and here's another one of the woes that plague CGI slop, literal sameface syndrome causing a pack of cocomelon children in the frame
I have friend whose first exposure to HnK is the remake and I told him right off the bat to not get attached to any character, he scoffed and confidently said that nobody would air an animu featuring the murder of a child in the big 2026
well yeah, like I said, he shouldn't have gotten attached because the part that the 1986 animu skipped happens in vivid detail in the remake and is actually a heartwrenching moment

but then you see what became of the goon and can't help but laugh
next week is going to be even worse for those easily attached

Finished the first arc of Human Algorithm, man this manga fucking rocks. It captured the soul of ghost in the shell so well and the new recruits sure are nice.

Also Togusa is the coolest in the manga, he is really fucking cool.

I've read the manga of quite a few anime I've watched in the past but it always seems like they just fall off incredibly fast? Is it because I relate the relevancy of the manga to what I've seen in the anime? Like "wow it must be good else they wouldn't have animated it", or do most manga just lose the appeal of its schtick? I read CSM and I honestly barely noticed the devil girl dying or the gun devil being beat. Suddenly, oh fuck many-armed chef lady - and even she wasn't enough to keep the IP relevant.
I see that and raise you...

I can't really hate the remake. I'd rather have mediocre cgi and full gore than censored modern anime art.

or do most manga just lose the appeal of its schtick?
A lot of manga authors don't have the entire story planned out ahead of time and the way that manga is published actively discourages it anyways. So a lot of mangas will get as far as the initial premise and maybe one or two big scenes, enough for a sales pitch, and then the writer is left scrambling for new ideas to keep the story going after that initial stretch runs out. Assuming of course that they don't get unceremoniously cancelled early and then have to scramble to try to end things.

Checking out Apothecary Diaries, and you mean to tell me Maomao literally gets aroused around poison even though she's sexually repulsed otherwise? jfc

The plot is only really okay and Maomao more or less carries the entire first season based on how likeable of a character she is. The second season gets better as it's a proper serialized plot and also more interesting in general.

I will also go to bat here and state that being repulsed by a eunich is the proper response to seeing a eunich.

I'm not too far in fwiw but there's really nothing to her character that is likeable, nor outright hateful. She just "is", and I have no real opinion of her other than the whole "wtf poison gives her the tingles".

She clearly was repulsed by sex regardless, though.

That gets expanded on later on given her upbringing and backstory.

Fair, but I stand by what I said, I don't think that the first season is all that great and your enjoyment level will probably be based on how much you like or dislike Maomao.

I shouldn't ever have to be wary about whether the MC is likable or not. That's a sign of a bad writer if you can't even make side-characters interesting to keep your audience's attention should the main character suck ass (which is also bad writing any way you slice it, but the deuteragonist or other characters have the possibility of saving it).

It may also be my intense dislike of the Chinese and anything Chinese flavored keeping me from liking it as well. But hey, those are my opinions and they shouldn't color your viewing of the show.

Likability is overrated. The real deciding factor for an engaging protagonist is the audience being interested in them and to a lesser degree understanding. Take Guts as he originally was in the beginning of Berserk. An absolute dick. A rageaholic bastard who'd willingly go through torture just to get close to the demon guy for obliteration. You see him show a soft side as the story goes on and hints of his past relating to why he is that way now before it throws you into the Golden Age arc.

Fucking poetry, that was.

It's like poetry, it rhymes, in a horrific sort of way.
