I know that they're running away to Canada, but are they moving out or just seeing the family? I've known other personal people who were victimized in Canada, and they were lenient about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to avoid legal trouble, since most of the shit they did was in America, and you can't directly arrest someone for anything they did in another country. They now have no obligation to give back the money, lol. While you can sue someone in a different country, the court would be very limited, and it'd be a difficult process. Maybe they're worried they mightve actually gotten sued by Ethan if they continued in America, or someone else they burned bridges with, who knows.
