Ashley is still buzzing around the industry. Hell, she even voiced major roles like the protagonist in Horizon Zero Dawn. She's still relevant. The only thing I can remember about Anthony is his old presentations on game writing which I enjoyed somewhat. Shame.

Ash seems to be going nowhere but up, she has a primary role on that Not Rick and Morty show Final Space now.
 
It's weird because Burch's role as the head writer for BL2 was pretty notable. As much I don't like Borderlands 2, it got universal acclaim for its writing and he could've easily used that acclaim to get further into the industry. Instead he tried and failed to start some new webseries, got stuck writing throwaway garbage for LoL and then did nothing of importance.

I don't think it's a coincidence that so many of the most puritanical of the dreaded SJWs used to post on Something Awful. A lot of the more low-level Tumblr types are more likely to have fallen in that group due to social pressure and fear of becoming a target. For Anthony, I feel like this has been more due to one prolonged plea for redemption after his involvement in Duke Nukem Forever. That's when the shift started.

I'd have to guess it's more to do with SA having a bit of a "cool kids club" vibe back in the day and that SJWs being the narcissists that they are just had to be there. I never hung around the forums, but I know some people from way back that were regulars there at the time that aren't massive SJ spergs, so maybe that was one of the first communities they infested and fucked up before anyone (including themselves) were aware of what was going on.

Its humor was also shitty because it wasn't funny, not because it was politically incorrect, as the casual shitlordism would have been in line with the rest of the series had it not been so painfully unfunny.

Nobody's arguing she's not a lib, she's just not a big enough douchebag to let it control her life (genuinely or as a means of deflection) like her weird ass brother. Despite whatever her politics are, she's still an undeniably successful entertainer and creative personality, which is way beyond anything that can be said for nearly any other "videogame SJW" out there. I don't think it got universal acclaim, it was very decisive at the time when it came out. It was praised in the typical "we're all friends" video game media sites but he caught a lot of shit about the writing being "a bunch of memes and references, taped together, end to end". It only got worse as time went on and as players re-rolled to try other classes and had to go through the story again; or beat the game and had to go through the story again - on Hard mode.

It still led to one of the greatest burns of all time, though.

I'm not sure what game Burch was referencing, but just a straight LOL if he thinks anything in BL2 stands up to anything in The Walking Dead (season 1). Borderlands 2 was nominated in a few categories (Best Action Game, Best Game Design, Artistic Achievement) and some of the VAs (Claptrap and Handsome Jack) won awards, but writing was scarcely mentioned in BL2's accolades.

Burch even admits the best lines, especially Handsome Jack, were largely improvised. People remember the villain because his actor nailed the goddamn role, not because of any particularly deep writing.

Plus anyone that writes a villain as "myself but able to express their hate of the world" is a complete bell end.
