Too many people, on both sides, seem to think that society can't judge you for things you do of your own volition that are incredibly stupid and disruptive as long as you did it for "The Cause" (tm)

They don't have an endgame. Further up the thread someone asked one of them on camera what they were standing for, and he said, "Smash the state!" Camera bloke says, "And then what?" "Smash it again!" They then, when questioned further, couldn't think of anything else so they told him to stop filming or they'd forcibly insert his iPhone up his anus.

That's the kind of autism we're dealing with here.

Every time someone like Bannon, Spencer, Milo or the guy who apparently coined the term "alt right" gets taken down a peg they always act like they were some centralized Nazi leader.

I had literally never heard about Spencer or the other guy before one was punched and the other was found to have a Jewish wife.

The posts trying to seriously discuss the disorganization at Berkeley are solid gold. It calls to mind those kids who play competitive player-verses-player games, but have no idea how to work together as a team, complete objectives, or do anything productive whatsoever because they're too busy trying to look leet and get kills/punch nazis. Ultimately they achieve nothing and their team would have been better off without them.

The catch is that the entire team is doing this, because anarchy. In other words, Antifa have just beautifully demonstrated the stupidity of their own philosophy to themselves, and damn if that isn't funny as fuck.

The best part is, even if you do intend to fly solo, you can still plan for yourself. However, these idiots think "I'm gonna punch a nazi!" and that is, apparently, as far as the thinking goes. I am inclined to believe that even if they did have the foresight to come out onto the field with real gear, like helmets and water (you'd think they would have, since they were instigating,) they still would've been destroyed because these privileged lazy chuck/chuckle/chucklefuckselfs probably each have the stamina and physical prowess of a dead walrus.

In the end, these are bratty children throwing a violent temper tantrum in the street with the idea that if they yell loudly enough while also setting things on fire, they'll somehow get their way. It is an awfully convincing argument, really.

Nathan Damigo is a shitbag. But how fucking stupid do you have to be to deliberately put yourself in harm's way at a protest--antagonizing a group of people you've already identified as thugs--only to be shocked when one of them punches you in the face?

There's a lot of hand-wringing over how Damigo punching Venus Rosales--"Omigod!!He punched a woman!" Well, fucking duh; they were both willing participants--and instigators--in a conflict each knew they were getting into. You want to dress up in black and play badass Antifa revolutionary? Fine. But in doing so you've accepted the risk of getting punched by a Nazi, and see that risk as worthwhile. If you really don't want to get punched in the face? You don't go to protests. Or, if you do, you don't directly provoke Nazis, who might just decide to punch you in the face. And if you didn't think you'd actually get punched in the face, for reals? You're an idiot who should have just stayed home.

I'm a feminist, and I feel a total lack of outrage at Venus Rosales getting punched In a direct conflict, with emotions running high, you're not wearing a fucking Lady Halo that protects you. As a woman who willingly joins a conflict, no, you don't get an exemption from getting hurt by men on the other side (see: every war, ever). And if you're a genuine feminist? You'll accept this. Your male comrades run the risk of being beaten by men larger than they are, or even assaulted by women. How, as a feminist, can you decide that's acceptable, but your getting hurt is not?

Nate Damigo is still a shitstain, but he was long before he punched Venus Rosales. And Venus Rosales is just a straight-up goddamned idiot.

If you want gender equality, you'll have to accept that a female candidate for President can lose the race on her own merits and a female instigator of a riot can get punched in the face, the instant you get upset at either of those things and start to say "but, she's a ..... " just stop.

STOP.

Do that and you have LOST any claim to gender equality and exposed your desire for a separate and more favorable set of conditions for one gender over another, or the usual pick-and-choosing from both sides so you always come out on top.

Getting naked at a protest is empowering, but people looking at you is sexism, women can join the military if they want to, but are too fragile to survive seeing a comic book character with big boobs without losing all self esteem. Stop the god-damned cherry picking.

Either women can hack it alongside men, or they can't. None of this setting the bar lower and then complaining it's not the same height.
