ANTIFA / Antifascist Action / Antifaschistische Aktion - The anti-fascist gang with fascist tendencies

These people are two sides of the same coin.

Right now, I find myself in the sobering situation of enjoying street-level violence because the side I don't like is getting it's ass kicked. And though they did "start" it with their ill conceived new-wave freicorps approach of deciding institutions had failed and democracy had to be defended in the street by the bashing of "enemy" heads, I'll freely also admit that if they agree to stand down, I'll expect the "other side" to do as well, and if they won't, I'll also enjoy the police bashing in their MAGA-hat-wearing heads too

It's clear that if you walk into the street and ask for a fight, only the other sides' dregs will respond. Brawling has never been the purview of well-adjusted and self-sufficient middle-class people.

But the left DID do just that, you can't deny it. They are the ones blocking freeways and dragging people out of cars if they spot a Trump bumpersticker.

Nobody did anything like this on the right during Obama, but a combination of poor educational/ideological upbringing and social-media soapboxing meant the dangerhair and soy boi elements were primed to throw this huge tantrum. Hopefully, after two years, they are getting tired of it, either through realizing that the revolution (tm) they want is not here, not now, and they are not the vanguard. Or, just tired of the bruises and ACE bandages.

If they want to surrender and go home, fine, we've done reconstruction before in this country, you want to go back to being productive citizens with just differing ideas? Fine. I wont' stop you.

But, I kinda want them to get spanked a few times before they are sent back to their rooms to finally grow up so that future generations may learn to be less frothing at the mouth when things do not go their way. In other words, I can't feel bad for wanting them to suffer a disastrous 21st Century version of Pickett's Charge into a cannon-line before they give up, less they just be emboldened to try again as soon as they catch their breath.

I hate the alt right, but I hate punks like Antifa who are just looking for fights, too. They really are two sides of the same coin

Navy SEAL training is so brutal that even a lot of the elite of the elite of the military cannot do it. That troon probably thinks that playing on a playground like Al Qaeda used to do is like SEAL training

Most Tea Party whiners actually had jobs so didn't go looking for situations where they might be arrested.

That can't be right. The average Antifa has way more blubber than that.

The constant diet of Soylent keeps the average Antifa with barely an ounce of fat on their body combined with almost no muscle mass. The Snorlax-looking obese Antifa are a rarity.

The way I see it, the violent assholes of the right are going to be violent assholes. The violent assholes of the left are kind of a new thing, at least in the masses we're seeing, and they not only started it, the left cheered them on. So the ones on the right get to look like heroes now playing defense.

Unfortunately, when idiots stop showing up to get their asses kicked, we're gonna have to deal with an extra rowdy, extra large group of violent idiots starting trouble and insisting they're the good guys. I just hope that part doesn't mend all the ill will Antifa has caused among normal people.

I remember reading up how several West Coast bars have banned Patriot Prayer/Proud Boy members from being served. While it would be easy to say that it is because of their politics, and a good amount of it most likely is, apparently the main gripe about them from the bar owners is that these guys are known to hit on the female patrons a bit too aggressively. At that point it'd be an economic problem for the owners because more PP/PB members means more uncomfortable women. More uncomfortable women means more of them wanting to leave the bars and go to where they won't get the attention of those guys. Less women at the bars mean less men wanting to go there to hit on women a bit less aggressively than PP/PB. This in turn will mean less patrons all around and therefore less money for the owners to maintain the bars.

What we really have on our hands is just a big Jock vs Nerd war where the former side are still desperately clinging onto their Big Man on Campus high school days while the latter side is more concerned with having a shot at finally being the same bullies they more than likely have been tormented by.

The majority of the rest of the population, however, have already learned how to grow the fuck up and move on with their lives instead of being hyper-partisans

The violent parts of the PP/PB movement are likely the disaffected castoff of the dead/dying 90's Militia and KKK movements, who were falling apart because their progenitor groups had splintered/decayed from a combination of prosecuting the more high-profile members for crimes and a natural greying out as the generation of kids in the 90s' grew up under relative peace and prosperity and by the time of the Turn of the Century, didn't see the appeal of joining a ragtag gang of fat rednecks LARPing as Special Forces members and prattling about Christian anarcho-patriotism.

Ironically, it was only through ANTIFA looking for a fight that they got a fresh infusion of youth and purpose.

Good job there, soyboys. You revived a violent movement by ragequitting democracy....
