Any chance of Chris "snapping out of it" within the next decade?

Do you guys think that, in spite of Chris' stubbornness and resentment towards people trying to better his life, there will come a time when he will just "snap out of it"? You know, move out of his mom's, get a decent job and accommodation, get psychiatric help, hit the gym, eat a balanced diet and spend his money on only true necessities (as opposed to video games, LEGO and sex toys).

I only asked because I saw a discussion on Chris not too long ago in which people pondered the idea of Chris reforming after having gone to a social group... you know, mixing in with others who are mentally unsound, and where carers and helpers can help develop people's life and communication skills. So it really got me thinking.

I'll give an honest answer:

Chris has slowly been making positive changes, but that's only after being bombarded with the suggestions over and over for years (literally) and even then he probably didn't take the suggestions until Barb mentioned it. Chris realizes he's fat and that he'd have an easier time attracting women, and that took him about 5 years to figure out. It took him about 6 years to figure out he can use his Internet "fame" to make money.

Maybe one day he'll "snap out of it" but it'll be quite some time until the thought crosses his mind "Gee, I'm pretty messed up, aren't I?". And then he'll think of some new bizarre way to justify his behavior. But it's possible he'll eventually realize that he could improve himself but ultimately it's going to be him that will convince himself or failing that, his mother.

tl;dr - no.

he won't ever snap out of anything. he MIGHT become semi-functional if he is ever pushed and forced to be part of a group home or to be followed by a professional, but he's too old and too far into his lifestyle to ever live "normally"

what is it with limeys and eating tea.

tea is a liquid. you're supposed to drink it.
