Occupation wise, I mean plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc

I tried my hand at IT. But quickly discovered how much I hate people over the phone and the customer service that goes with it.

"Have you you tried signing out and logging back in?"

"Ok"

"Did you do it?"

"No"

"Can you do it?"

"Ok"

"Did you do it?"

"No"

Discovered I prefer working with my hands more than sitting on my butt eight hours a day and pursued a welding career. Yeah I get burnt but at least I'm constantly moving the whole time.

My first job was as an electrician's apprentice when I was 16 and after a year of that I realized I wanted a nice desk job. Fast forward 20+ years and I'm in IT and enjoy it for the most part.

Old people do be having problems with their computers tho.

Good choice with welding someone hiring a welder is probably in the trade already and understand the value of the skill right?

My first job was something of a handyman, the worst part of the work was dealing with the customers too, at least in a call centre your payment is not contingent on keeping them happy.
