Thank you both, I feel like I've come across the Rajneeshpuram name in passing but I never got a sense of what it was. I'll definitely look at the Heaven's Gate as well, I did a lot of reading research but it will be something to see them in motion.

Okay so I'm being fucking retarded about my embeds (lurker but new poster) but there's a few docs that are pretty good:

-Vice did a documentary on the Love has Won cult that's a decent intro to Mother God, who would've died no more than a week after the video was uploaded
-Going Clear is a good one about Scientology (on Netflix and HBO if I remember rightly)
-Wild Wild Country is another Netflix doc about Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

If you're into podcasts "The Last Podcast on the Left" does a lot of cult episodes if you don't mind it being comedic. Otherwise there's other podcasts (i.e Cult Podcast, and Parcast's Cult series) that would cover the same shit without cracking jokes.

If you can find the one about the fake indian (original name "Pierre Maltais" a Canadian) in your language then look into it.

And this french documentary I also found. (In it you find an interview in english where he answers the question about him raping kids with: "if you say so", "i was told that" and "I did or I didn't" like any innocent man would).

Short recap: Canadian normie pretends to be a micmac "indian" (they used that word) and goes to europe during the 90's and turns white people into "indians". They live in misery with him in the forest to get closer to nature and "eat clean" while he sneaks off to McDonalds, he rapes a very young boy, lets him die in agony and tricks a psychotic man into murdering another guy for "spiritual reasons".
He also manages to go off on other adventures in between being a cult leader and scam people out of money, he never ends up in jail because he is somehow politically protected, it's all very mysterious but he is being let off too easy so there was def. something weird going on.
He "died in a fire" but his autopsy documents were destroyed before anyone could confirm his death so he may or may not still be out there.
