Decided to record myself improvising to try and get back into playing the guitar after a few months. Unfortunately I've cut my fingernails off recently, so some parts sound a bit awkward. Give it a shot if you don't mind some grandpa sounding noodling!

EDIT: Uploaded my doodles to SoundCloud for those of you who aren't keen on downloading stuff

I enjoy making music. I have tonnes of instruments lying around the house. Was in a band for a bit but quit because one of the members was psychotic and another one bragged about how she would root all of the band members - she had a list written on her phone of people she'd slept with.

Couldn't be bothered. I am in a duo with another mate now and we do lo-fi music.

This seems like a good time to share my passion.

Here we have my first mandolin, a Gretsch New Yorker.

(I have two other mandolins that are not pictured, one is a generic wineburst color mandolin and the other is a folksy looking locally made mandolin with a nice rattlesnake marquetry pattern on the back.)

My Descant Renaissance lute by Roosebeck

I feel inclined to include this because it is a rather pricey book about how a lute is made, and much of my interest comes from the construction and appearance of instruments themselves. I intend to put the information in this book to use someday and build a lute myself.

I have an obsession with folk instruments and historical instruments (particularly stringed) and I have a laundry list of instruments to add to my collection. When I have the time and resources I intend to build a few myself, especially ones that aren't common enough to readily buy.

I intend learn as many instruments I own as possible.
