Any paranormal experiences here? - What have you had happen that you dont want to again.

Why? Are you afriad that you may atract such things again? Or its just too traumatic to talk about?
It's the first one. Trauma may be too sharp of a word, but these events led to difficulties in my life and they were both dark periods for me personally.

Edit to add: I'm not mentally ill and neither of these experiences involved seeing something that wasn't there, no visual element. I'll leave it at that.

I came very close to drowning as a child and in what was no more than 30 seconds I experienced very significant temporal and spatial distortions, experiencing simultaneously the present, aspects of my own past but also of my future life. Curiously to this day I semi-regularly experience very significant and sometimes fairly prolonged bouts of deja-vu where what's happening in the moment seems to synchronize with my experience as a child as if we're both experiencing it at the exact same time, past, present and future self existing during a singular point in time and space - sometimes during the most mundane of circumstances but usually with regards to something fairly significant.

I don't believe in any heebie jeebie gypsy mumbo jumbo abracadabra voodoo mojo magik shit

but man, the amount of weird instances of deja vu dreams I've had in my life are, at some point, a little too weird lol.

I've had some odd instances, but it can usually just be chalked up to imagination and sleep deprivation since I'm an insomniac. I'm sure my weird deja vu dreams can be explained as just poor memory from a caffeine addicted person who barely sleeps lol. Time slips away from me, so perhaps I just confuse things.

Do you guys think that hautings have inteligence or are just records created by past events?
most of the time, hauntings are ordinary things that people mistake as being paranormal because of confirmation biases from cultural traditions and rumors
bear in mind that ghosts (human figures that someone sees without them being physically present) are unrelated to hauntings and less likely to be reported unless the witnesses believe spirits are supposedly involved

Haven't had any confirmed "paranormal" experiences.

I have seen a spot of light in the clouds to the east close to sunset, but there's likely a "normal" explanation. Like a spotlight, aircraft light, or maybe ball lightning.

I saw an honest to goodness goblin once (I didn't believe in them and im not sure i do now). I'm talking green tinted skin, hands that hang beneath the knees, mouth like the Cheshire cat, pointy eared goblin. It came through my lane at the grocery store and paid using a burlap sack of dollar coins.
I tried to rationalize it as maybe some tarded person, but I've seen a lot of mutants in my time and this was not like any deformity that I've ever seen. I've had other unexplained experiences that were more terrifying, but the goblin will always stick with me because of how surreal it was.

Pic related, it looked like this, but in casual summer clothing.

I was once sitting with my mom talking while everyone else was asleep. I can't remember what we were talking about, but it was late and we were sitting in the living room close to the kitchen. Suddenly she hushes me and I notice a faint ringing sound, like that of glass clinking.

I immediately started to panic but I decided to be logical and calm down. I listened again, because I won't embarrass myself by being delusional, but I heard it very clearly. It was like someone held every glass in the kitchen shelves and clank/rattled them gently, continually. My mother heard it clearly too and started to whisper.

I decided to go have a look, but the voice immediately died down when I reached the kitchen door, and no one was there. The moment I went back to my mother it started again.

This was not the only weird experience I had in that house, but we ended up moving (and I also grew up) and I haven't experienced anything weird anywhere else.

When I worked at a supermarket with a Bakery we had these heavy ass freezer doors, Like proper industrial shit. Anyway I clock in and get called to the managers office, I go to see what's up and they just show me the CCTV footage from like 3 in the morning the door just opens on it's own wierdest thing was the handle moving on it's own and everything.

I felt bad for that ghost, imagine spending your afterlife haunting some crappy chain of supermarkets

the tunnel of light
In some Gnostic belief, that tunnel is a trap to trick souls into reincarnating, so evil entity can feed off of suffering. Also that belief says one must ask the true God to get one out of the physical universe before falling for the tunnel trick, after one passes away. It's a belief where the physical is the creation of a lesser evil god.

I was walking home one day outside of my small hometown in the west of Ireland at about 2am in the morning on June 8th, 2014, basically heading due west; when three dim lights like stars or satillites flew right above me; at first I didn't take notice of it, but they were visible for a very long time; dipping slowly into the horizon; more visible than anything I'd ever saw before. They had the speed of a aircraft, and were not moving irratically, but were far smaller and not making any noise whatsoever. I watched as they moved in what appeared to be a straight line (from my perspective) in front of me, travelling due west.
I lived on a road which is closeby the country road which leads to the far west of Ireland, and the next night many large trucks escorted by what appeared to be the police and the military travelled in the same direction.

I spent that summer asking around for any odd lights in the sky stories and strange military operations in Ireland and got back bupkis, no one it seeemed to have seen what I did. The only explanation for the trucks were the transferring of windmills to the countryside, which made sense. But it was very odd timing; it could have been a good cover. I did discover that it alligns with the Theodore Roosevelt sightings years later.

Thus ends my very boring episode of real life X-Files

I think you can make arguments both ways. Their are things like people being stuck in a time warp that repeat things over and over but also smart entities like my grandmothers ghost who know what their doing in their environment so they behave within it. Something like a Djinn or a poltergeist has to have some ability to engineer or create chaos the way they do.

Absolutely never, and I work daily in maximum haunting potential environments. The spookiest thing I've experienced I guess was me and several other people being unable to find a small object which we discovered in extremely obvious plain sight after a while.

That sounds like a very mild tremor and the glasses really were rattling.

I was on vacation and we walked onto one street to make it back to our hotel room. It was dark and I couldn't see much but I stopped anyway as soon as we turned on it. I just had a bad feeling and I said this is a bad street, we should go around. Partner didn't want to, so we went down it anyway. As we got closer, there was a ton of little objects and dolls hanging from the trees and all over the yards of the houses. We didn't encounter anything, but it was creepy and I had that bad feeling the entire time we walked down that road.

There are other things, my ex's parents house was very haunted. Once while having a conversation in the kitchen, a plate from the dish rack just flung itself across the kitchen right in front of us onto the floor, shattering. Then there was the ghost that would walk into her closet. Weird shit.

There's been a few times I have witnessed paranormal activity. I know it sounds pretentious, but I do think I have some sort of preclusion to these things. There's been many times in my life where I feel acutely aware of something going on around me, even when I know it is not physically possible or situationally possible. I'm never afraid of these things, as they do not give me cause to fear; but I do respect whatever it is causing these things. I'll share this story now and if others are interested, I'll share some more. I've even got a UFO story! Of course, this is the Internet, so always take everything with a pillar of salt, but these are true experiences I had that I have never been able to explain.

My first story has to deal with an obvious haunting/poltergeist. When I first began working in my school district through a contractor, I was taking every bit of overtime I could get. I had been working in the district for about 5 months. It was December and I was working a basketball tournament that our district hosted. We have an old field house that was built back in the 1930s specifically for high school basketball, and the higher ups were trying to drum up interest from the public to get much needed renovations done to the building. The tournament was small with just 4 teams, so just two games and it would be over. It was the Friday before Christmas Break, so the kids in the student section were all amped up and the atmosphere was rowdy. Anywho, the field house is connected to what used to be a middle school that the district repurposed for a preschool. Why did they do this? Well, a few years before, a 7th grade girl went into a second floor restroom and hung herself by the small coat hook on the back of a stall door. It really shocked the community and the decision was made that we would have just one middle school going forward. The building sat vacant for about 3 years before we repurposed it. At the time, the only way to get trash out from the field house was to go through the preschool, which was connected by a small hamster tunnel. Every time you made that journey, you had to pass by the restroom where this child ended her life. I originally thought nothing of it. A tragedy, yes, but one that is now in the rearview for us.

To keep people from wandering over into the preschool, I turned off all the lights to deter anybody from going in. As the night went on and trash was piling up, I kept passing by the restroom. Again, thought nothing of it because I was trying to work. But after half a dozen trips back and forth, I felt this chill at my ankles whenever I walked past the open entryway to the restroom. I thought hey, it's December, this is an old building, probably a draft. The games end and it's about 10 PM. I've got pretty much everything done, now it was just time to take out one final round of garbage, do security check, call it a night and go home for some brews. Now, when the field house lights are shut off, it gets dark. Like, dark to the point where you can't see your hand in front of your face. With the lights off and doors locked, I turn on my phone flashlight to find my way out. I hear a very dull thumping, like something is in the giant metal ventilation in the ceiling. I point my flashlight upward and try to see what it is, but am unable to find anything. Figured it was just an old building doing old building things.

I leave the field house and start walking in the preschool. To my surprise, there's a hallway light that is left on. Weird, because all the lights were off for the duration of my time there and could only be turned on by a special key. I take the short walk over, flick the switch, then turn around to find that the hallway I just came from now has its lights on. Now I'm annoyed, because my first thought was someone got in the building. Figuring it was a couple of mischievous high schoolers, I say in a friendly yet authoritative tone "Alright kids, very funny. You need to get out of the build-" and then BAM! A door that was no more 10 feet behind me slams with a mighty force. I look back and the original hallway I went to now has its lights back on. I look ahead of me and have my attention immediately drawn to the girls restroom. The light inside of it is off, but there's something different about the darkness. I feel an intense chill go through my body like a thousand tiny knives. It chills me to the bone and I physically shiver. Knowing that I was most likely not dealing with kids pulling a prank but rather a potentially harmful entity was not a pleasant feeling. So, in an attempt to lighten the mood, I calmly address whatever it is that happens to be inhabiting the building with me. I inform it that I am only here to secure the building and will be leaving as soon as I am finished. I feel a weight come off my shoulders and I go back to turning off lights. I walk a little quicker to get to the back area where the alarm panel is, but then I hear another loud slamming. I look back and I watch as classroom doors that were left open are slamming shut, one by one, towards me. Something was coming and was not happy I was there. I quickly shut the door behind me, run to the alarm panel, enter the code, and get out, all the while I hear the slamming grow louder and louder until I finally shut the security door behind me to get outside. I run to my car and as soon as my engine turns, I shift it into drive and hit the pedal. Normally it would take me 10 minutes to get from this particular area of town to my home, but I have no clue how fast I was driving. I don't even remember if I ran into any red lights. All I know is that I made it home in 4 minutes, 5 at a maximum. I pull into the drive way, hop out, and sprint inside. Only then did I feel I was safe. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well that night.

Anywho, after the holiday we went back to work and my boss asked me what the hell happened. I told him and that is when he told me this was a normal occurrence for people who never worked in that building before. The regular custodians don't have these experiences. The final conclusion I could come up with was that whatever this things was didn't recognize me and felt I was intruding on its space. Even though I had announced what I was doing and it stopped temporarily, I guess I wasn't moving fast enough for its liking. I've worked in that building numerous times since then and have not had any negative experiences. Whenever I happen to be in that building and pass that restroom, I always say a small prayer for that poor girl and the pain she went through to do such a horrible thing. Perhaps that is what wards off the spirit that clearly dwells in that school.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

The sand pattern around the black thing and the boat makes me think this was once a bit more full of water than it is now. I've seen a lot of evaporation ponds where they line everything with an enormous tarp so the water or chemical waste doesn't seep into the ground. I wonder if there's something similar happening there?

As for the tank, that's pretty strange to see but there are also places where you can rent a tank and drive it around in the desert (closer to Nevada) so depending on where this location is it could be something like that.

I have had quite a few.

When I was around 3 years old, I remember there being a thunderstorm at my house and I was helping my father check the glass fuses on the porch because the power had went out. We went back inside and we had to light candles. My father told me to go put my wet shoes into my room, and when I entered the room. There was something standing on my bed in the dark, under the blanket. It was about 3 feet tall, and all my siblings were babies so it wasn't them. I freaked out, and told my dad. The lights suddenly came back on, but he came into my room and saw it too. He jumped on it, and there was nothing there. Other odd but minor things happened in that house, like ribbons and shit slinking around the house like inch worms. It was an old Victorian mansion that got converted into a duplex.

When I was about 9 years old, we had moved to a new house. This one was a lot smaller, but better. My parents allowed my brother in law to live in the basement. I would occasionally have to go down there to tell him stuff. The basement was full of the landlords stuff, like an old slot car race track. They said it didn't work, and there was no where to plug it in. Every so often, my brothers and I would play in the basement, including with the non functional match car set. One day I have to go wake up my brother in law, and as I descend the stairs the washing machine suddenly starts up at full speed. The lamp to my brother in law's room flickers, and the slot car track suddenly starts going. Let me just say, I stopped going down there. I also used to have nightmares of the hat man in that house all the time too.

When I was in middle school, I used to ride my bike home from school. I went down this side street that had a long fence with a single gap in it. Every so often, out of the corner of my eye I would see huge silver flames as tall as a man standing in the gap in the fence (it was as bright as sun reflecting off of metal chrome). It baffled me, and I was curious. But no matter what I did, I could never recreate the silvery flames. Nor could I find anything that could have reflected the light. It would appear again though, 2 more times. It seemed to wait till I gave up on it to appear again. It even once appeared on an overcast day.

I once woke up while sleeping in my parents basement (different house than the other 3 experiences), to the sound of crackling. I thought maybe the house was on fire, so I shot up and looked behind me, realizing the room I made very dark (I worked night shift) had a strange white/blue hue. There was a ball of lightning like 3 feet from where I was. I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or not, but it quickly vanished in an instance.
